Sorry for the time in response. I had to make an emergency run to palm springs to help out a fellow marine. I'll leave it at that.

I was part of a RP at the 8-bit forums where the GM had issues with one of my posts. He more or less halted the RP and we discussed/got testy. The discussion was resolved and the RP.... didn't continue.
It is all important to keep a RP flowing, if you aks me, as pauses can lead to some players failing to pick up again.

We can discuss as we go along.

meh, i cede to the DM if my initial argument doesn't sway him.

If either of us get testy it's a sign that it has gone too far, and the DM is allways right.

as the DM is the boss the GM has final say, if you cant persuade him otherwise, assume so

he isnt allways right, but we stroke his ego and let him be

its all good. I'm surposed to be learning in this game, and it has helped. I am always open for ideas on how to run things better. Benedict made a very good point.

I'm in San Diego for the weekend, i'll be back sunday night

the main tunnel is lit enough to see detail in the pipes and see where your walking out to about 50ft

the side tunnel is not lit at all

each sister's bolter has a light (standard sized tac light) as well as the shoulders of their armor. Also the helmet has a form of night vision, but it still require some amount of light to work.

And from where does this light come?

Er, I won't complain about this contemporary equipment on science-fantasy armours. It's your game.

Helmet? What helmet? My Sister is a hardcore 40K character: No head protection here, no Sir.

The illumination is coming from the shoulder-lamps.

As for "contemporary illumination", what exactly did you expect? This is Warhammer 40.000, hard science. You have a flashlight and you are supposed to say "thank you".

I guess helmets are a given for all Sisters, even if they are not wearing them. If you choose to take it off, then say so...
