The next chapter of the 89th, Another story for you

it is the millenium 41, and the century, its about to become the 33rd, the chaos are gathering on a planet, nearby is the Cadia 89th orbital ship "Defence by Offence"

"Are the plans ready?"
"Yes, do it"
"Here goes"

A massive explosion rocked planet Exibus as a deathstrike missile was launched, the problem was the Cadia 113rd who had been tainted by chaos, they fired the missile, this one missile would send the nearby 89th on them like a mouse on cheese. Of course, due to their misthinking, a deathstrike missile cannot hit a ship in space, so after time it ran out of fuel, and plummeted back down to the launcher, but the very threat was enough to stir the cadia 89th...

"We're safe! It has plummeted back down!"
"I feel sorry for those stupid guardsmen!"

But that was the plan, it cost hundreds of chaos guardsmen but it could mean the end of the cadia 89th once and for all...
-------------------First op: lure------------------

Within minutes valkyres flew through the sky and smashed hundres of chaos but they were heading to a trap...

The chaos wanted rid of this new legion so they led the 89th into the new trap... but that would take age for the guard to get to if they were not decoyed due to a new base

the chaos attacked with its cultists and the valkyries followed, but what happend would take more than a chapter to go through, the guard did eventually camp but it took a while The army had been identified... they were the cadia 6th, they had a very poor reputation, while losing no battles in their lifetime against tyranids they had been taking hordes of casualties, hence the nickname "The Reforming" as they have reformed over 12 times due to their "defeats" and reforming, they, however, mysteriously disappered in M36 due to a sudden chaos attack in their sector, they are the only marauder army in the sector... of course, the day it happened the survivors had a choice, reform the cadia 6th or join a new regiment, the cadia 89th or their brothers, the cadia 90th "Screeching devils"

this was the point of the attack, destroy those who did not turn or make them turn, the new cadia 6th regiment was nowhere near however... ---------Third Op: Chaos Always wins... Or does it----------------
The Valkyries flew straight into the trap, chaos manned hydars, which blotted out the sky, the valkyries were shot down, one by one, one of the shot down valkyries contained McVain's squad...
"We're goin down!" - Pilot Mhar
"Brace for impact soldiers!" - General Gould

An explosion rocked the sky, they had crashed...

"Is everyone ok?"
"We are under heavy fire here!"
"Get down get down!"
"Shahker! Your alive!" -General Gould
"Ahhh" - Private Spahl
"Spahl!" - Pilot Mhar
"Watch out! Grenade!" - Sergeant McVain

Another explosion rocked as the grenade went off, all that could be seen was chaos guardsmen, but not just of the 6th, it seemed every guardsmen regiment was here, the Cadia 1st and the Tallarn 6th were also here, at least the ones attacking them but other regiments were attacking they're allies, it seemed that the chaos would always win... ----------Fourth Op: The task--------------
Private Karankov jumped across the battlefield, running through with a letter, he bared bad news

"The nearby Cadia 7th are in a full scale war, we cannot call for help!"

The Chaos were swarming the 89th now

"There are more enemies than we have bullets... or battery anyway!" - Gnl Gould
"Quick! Move!" - Pvt Karankov

The men jumped to safety as a greande explosion rocketed the ground around them

Private Karankov rushed to the valkyries vox, only to be shot coldbloodedly by the commissar

"No-one retreats, we shall fight them off with fear in our hearts and loyalty in the mid!" - Lcms Von Braun
"You... You killed him!" - Sgt McVain
"It wasn't my boltgun, I used this thing here, not capable of killing except blows to the neck or head, I merely knocked him out!" - LCms Von Braun

The chaos warriors were still flooding them, showing no signs of breaking, the stormtroopers decided to use the valkyries guns

"Quick, Dirch, man that heavy bolter and tell the pilot or captain to fire the missiles in the direction of the enemy!" - Cpl Shahker
"Yes sir!" - Pvt Dirch

A big explosion shook the earth, the enemies were breaking now as the rockets went on target

"Well that was my last round!" - Pvt Skar
"Lucky shot!" - Pvt 1st Scahar
A sudden sniper bullet hit Scahar, they knew the enemy were not defeated yet

They were lucky thjough as the 3rd companies valkyries landed by them

"Havin a bit a trouble sergeant?" - Private Lerkan
"Don't be sarcastic with me private!" - Sgt McVain

The men climbed aboard, knowing it was the emporer who saved them due to their loyalty...
The valkyries sped towards freedom now, they had retreated back to the army base, militia were fighting off the chaos now, they wished to go back to the base for one reason...

The ship had started bombarding the AA area and had massive success, it then pointed its huge guns towards the cadia 6th base, killing all, this was to be the end, it was the elysian 125th's problem now as the 89th needed to go back to Penosola...

"Ah my old history eh McVain!" - LCms Von Braun
"I'm sorry to inform you this but, you have been stripped of your rank for retreating in the emporer's name" - Pvt Dirch
"I just got that rank!" - Cms Von Braun
"I'm sorry sir!" - Pvt Dirch

And the commissar was angry now, he decided to view his old past time, for old times sake...


Note the fact I will not include that past time!
This is the end and then it looks at the next chapter, the battle for the port which is on it's way with the help of two other writers...

I shall now announce that the next of the series and probably the last is being written

It is fairly christmassy as it will have at least one blizzard, I shall confirm these things:
The Cadia 89th will stay
The Cadia 7th are back
Their enemies the Burn regiment will be back
The Vostroyan 12th and 3rd will be back
A new regiment will appear
plus a space marine chapter that I have not yet decided
