Right guys, since the game has slowed down, I figured I'd do some extra plotting and scheming. For the most part, its been revolving around ways to speed up my updating process, and simplyify the game down so we can focus more on RP, and less on rules/exhaustive force lists.

So, to effect this, I was curious if people would mind if I changed the force lists slightly (nothing major, don't worry about units disappearing) and changed the combat system away from exact numbers?

Other feedback about the game is also welcome.

Knock yourself out.

At this huge scale things will get very confusing the way you first intended to run things, so I'm all for changes.

Another suggestion I have is that, because most of the tactical planning is done by the OC, that you let the TSC members post up their armies in a thread so that we can keep up with casualties and changes instead of you having to handel all of that. I believe this would take quite a load off your shoulders, which means faster updates! tongue.gif

Edit: I need more Lieutenant Generals...

Yeah if you supply us TSC members with general rounded up figures of casualties we can update our force's for our Lt Gen's.

Much like giving them an overall briefing of the situation at army level only without the meeting smile.gif

Well, basically as soon as Medic gets back from his Army related forays the shyte is going to hit the fan, as its time for the landings. The next three days will simply be orders posts (plus any RP you want to do), I can update them as fast as you guys can post.

I recognize that this game has been quite slow. At the start that was due to me being busy/disorganized, but I've taken steps to fixing that. The simplification of the combat system is one of the means I am putting forward to assist in speeding things up. I've already figured out how to cut down my update-writing time down from four-eight hours for an update (seriously) to about one hour, meaning I don't have to stall everything whilst I find time to update.

The only thing left on my to do list is zoomed in maps of areas you guys are interested in landing on (please post any such requests in the intel requests thread).

Those of you involved on the stations who need to submit orders, you have until Medic gets back and posts for the moon landing before I update day 7.

By all means, simplify the combat system. With millions of personnel, we don't need to keep track of the individuals in our commands, we've got lackeys to do that. You could just say 'x' regiment has taken 30% casualties and leave it up to us what we want to do, rather than 'x' regiment taking 3000 KIA, 1700 WIA, and 1200 POWs...

Lith

Won't be able to post orders till friday, and I might have to email them to you.
I've had practically zero time for posting lately, but trying to keep up.

That's ok Erk, just keep me posted as to how your availability is going. Thanks for the orders submission btw.

For the rest of you, the rules and force list changes will take effect before the Serraxx landings, currently likely three updates away. Those updates will be short and sharp, no TSCs unless something happens to warrant another one. The maps from the intel requests will also be supplied prior to the landings, with enough time for you guys to start formulating plans.

So will us TSC members be provided with the necessary %'s to formulate our own casualty figures and such as the battle rages? And will we have access to our force dispo's so we can change them?

With the thinned system I will hopefully be able to track that without need for help. Should it become too much, I will delegate to the Generals themselves (assuming they agree).

The update is now in progress. Game and force list changes will follow shortly. Then finally the maps (they'll take the longest, so they go last).
