Thoughts

[Phedre]

Phedre stood, ankle deep in water, the waves splashing and foaming up around her. Her hair was lose, being whipped behind her from the wind off the water. Her arms crossed over her chest as she stared, unblinking, over the ocean.

"So much to do, so little time... honestly you think a life-age would be longer."

She let out a sigh, dead sea creatures surfacing in the water around her feet. She picked up the shell of a crab and threw it far into the water.

Wonder where Raku is?

Why?

I donno.

She ran her hand through her hair to tame its half wildness and sighed again.

[Raku]

He formed himself from out of the tainted ground, then slowly walked up behind her. He tapped her on the shoulder.

"Where you looking for me?"

He smiled at her then sat down beside her. His cloak hit the waters edge as he gazed into her eyes.

[Phedre]

She inhaled sharply hearing Raku's voice and feeling his tap on her shoulder.

"Oh," she said, trying to recover herself, "Looking for you? No..."

She rubbed the back of her neck and sat beside him, "But I was looking for some company."

She smiled, unable to meet his gaze for a moment. She stared out across the water, the sunset reflecting in her amber eyes. The wind seemed to die down and her hair draped like black shadows over her shoulders and down her back. Finally she risked a glance and him and smiled.

[Raku]

"O well, I only asked because most people either really want to see me cause their evil or.. they don't want to see me because they fear me."

He smiled back at her. "So what are you doing out here by yourself."

The water around him turned black. He looked at her once more, and smiled.

[Phedre]

She couldn't surpress her smile. Her dark amber eyes jumped to life and grew a bright blood red. She didn't dare look at him now... it wasn't every day the Goddess of Slaughter blushed.

"Here by myself? Oh My Lord Raku," she said continuing her smile, "who else would grace my presence? It would seem only you do not fear Slaughter."

For which i am enternally greatful...

"It's always a pleasure to have your company, My Lord."

[Raku]

He looked into her eyes and gazed at them for a while. "Well you aren't that frightening." He held back a small luagh.

"However most people think the oppisite of me." He looked into the water.

"Though there are many who fear you as well."

He looked back at her. "Well you might have me as company, but why are you out here, if you don't mind me asking?"

[Phedre]

She ran her hand through her hair, new streaks of blood highlighted its otherwise black depths. For some reason... it meant something to her that he didn't fear her. She let out a slow sigh and fell onto her back, staring up at the now blood red sunsetting sky.

"Sometimes..." she trailed off deciding not to continue.

"Thank you for your company," she said softly, trying to cover it up. "I just came here to..." she had no real reason, she just wandered in her own thoughts and ended up here. If no one had shown up she probably would have transformed.. but then Raku appeared... which was much better company than her shadowed side. "I'm not sure, I just ended up here I think."

She forced a smile, her white teeth flashing against her crimson lips.

[Raku]

He moved a little closer to her. "Why do you seem so down?"

He looked down at the ground. "If you don't mind me asking that is?"

His glyphs returned to black then no longer pulsed.

[Phedre]

She didnt move her gaze from the sunset, her hair spreading like shadows behind her head.

"I don't mind you asking, no," she replied softly.

But it doesn't mean I'll tell you... no matter who you are.

"Why aren't I frightening?" she asked earnestly, "I kill, I'm the Goddess of Slaughter after all."

She let out a sigh, losing control of her dragon form for a moment. Silver claws replaced the tips of her delicate fingers, digging into the coarse sand. She inhales sharply realizing it and turned back right away hoping he haden't noticed.

She didn't dare risk a glance at him, her lies would be easily read through her amber eyes, which were now faded and dark.

[Raku]

"Your frighting, but not to me."

He looked at her. "So why do you try and hide the dragon part of you." He said looking at her fingers. "Also you never said why you were so down was it because of the dragon in you?"

He slowly turned toward the sunset. "It's ok if you don't want to talk I will simply leave."

[Phedre]

As soon as he mentioned her dragon shape she curled her fingers into her palms trying to hide the evidence.

"How long have you known?" she said softly, turning her head to look at him her eyes soft for once.

She nodded yes to his second question. "It's hard to fight back your second self continuously... especially when it needs to be let loose every so often."

She didn't want him to leave, but she didn't force him to stay, the last thing she wanted to do was make him uncomfortable.

[Raku]

He slowly grabbed her hand. "You can allow it to come out when you need sacrifices." He stared at her hand.

He looked into her eyes. "Why is your other side so unruling anyway." He then started to look back at her hand.

"May I....nevermind that."

"Also I just found out right then."

[Phedre]

He let him hold her hand, watching him as he looked into it.

"What do you mean, I just found out right then?" she asked slightly worried.

She stared strait into his shadowy eyes, hoping they would give something of what he knew away.

"Did... Did you...erm... wanna see?" She was hoping he knew what she was talking about.

[Raku]

He kissed her hand then looked into her eyes. "I saw the claws, it's not everyday that you just get claws."

"And I would love to see your other form if thats what you were going to ask." He smiled at her. Then he looked into her eyes as he searched her feelings.

[Phedre]

She nodded to him, slightly nervous, she had never shown anyone her other form before... not anyone she knew.... not anyone she didn't kill.

She slowly got to her feet, rubbing her neck. She clasped her silver chain, with the viles of blood on it, in her hand and took a deep breath.

"Don't be-" she stopped herself and shook her head, "nevermind."

She took a deep inhale and suddenly her fingers became claws and her skin turned a pitch black. Scales began to sprout on her skin and her clothes dropped to the sand as she grew to a height of 7 feet. Giant jet black wings protruded from her back and her face lengthened to her snout. She bent over onto all fours and let out a yawn, stretching her limbs forward, then back. Her eyes were the same dark violet, and the only clothing, or close too, that remained on her was her silver chain, tight around her muscled neck.

She sat down after rotating her lengthened neck and tucked her tail infront of her.
