Normally, I would just post this to all of the people who are currently helping me, but in case others want to join the team here are some positions that could possibly be filled in the future.

Sometime in the near future (maybe), there should be software released that will work alongside with the master software I use for the main core of the game engine. This software will allow you to be able to create and modify terrains.

Terrain Editing
The price, I imagine, will probably be around $10.00, but if anyone would like to give it a shot I will purchase it for you if you convince me you'll be a dedicated team member in producing the environments for the game. Note also that I have specific plans for terrain that you would have to build, but there will be a huge amount of flexibility.

Tree Creation
There may also be another program for specifically creating trees, but I'll have more information on that when it comes down to it. The software will allow trees in-game to sway, change color of their leaves in different seasons (not sure if this will be placed in the game though), and will probably be very cheap to purchase.

Cave Editing
This software you can already purchase. Although I have never used it before, I will probably purchase it after the first main area of the game is completed to I can spice it up a bit in the second update. If you are interested in this, the price is $22.00 USD. If you want me to pay for it early for you though, well, you better be very convincing that you'll learn and use it. lol

Board Administrator
Handling a board is pretty time consuming, and I'm not sure if I want to give someone this amount of trust unless I know him/her in person. However, if you are interested in such a position you would want to read this manual before offering your assistance. If you read all the way through it and have a good understanding of it, you're well on your way to becoming a board administrator.

@Mak,

I got an answer back about that software. If I purchase it, only I can use it and you wouldn't be able to. So we'd have to buy it separately. I am not going to purchase it myself just yet (but definitely will in the future). However, if you would like to purchase it early, be my guest.

Thought I would answer this publicly to also answer to anyone else who might be interested.

Hi,

Which program are you talking about here. I have been searching in the forum and cant find which programs are used. I have been searching on the internet and it seem there is a lot available but as i am total green into this I would like to know from you which programs you recomment.

I have adobe photoshop and see you will work with Gimp, but i am thinking about the software mentioned above just to read some about it.

Greetings,
Pia

For the ones mentioned in the first post, I use RealmCrafter. You can actually download a demo of it and use most of the tools for free I think.

http://www.realmcrafter.com/store/home.php

For graphical things, if you already have Photoshop that should work fine. I would just Google for tutorials if you want to learn more about how to use it. Otherwise, GIMP is very similar from what I understand except for controls and such.

There is also some map making tools if you would like to get into that also. Some are free, so there's no risk if you want to try that out also.
Go here for more information on that:

Yes, it's a great tool also and I'll be using it a lot.

trueSpace 7.6 is now free also if you want to look into that as well.

I did come over that one as well smile.gif as i wrote it down for a closer look.
What about collecting all links to usefull and nice programs in one treat and make a sticky of it?

Came over a in my eyes extreme nice package of stone textures but pretty expensive.
http://www.arroway.de/textures/05/en/index.html

I wonder what are the requirments (hard word) for texture images? One of my hobbys is photography from medival buildings/churches/ruins/tombstones so i might find something there. What kind of textures are needed?

Greatings,
Pia

For most textures a jpg or png file in 256 x 256 should be good standard. I would probably not pay for textures at this point.

I've been a little busy to do much right now, but if you would like to make a list of all tools (which would be nice actually) I will definitely make it a sticky for everyone to see.

Current textures needed: we could use a new grass, dirt, etc. for ground textures. I kind of just through something together on the test server.

Hi,

I dont mean you should buy them smile.gif I just thought they were nice to keep in mind while looking around in nature to make pictures.
I am just looking into all this stuff right now to get a idea.

Have some busy rl stuff these days but i can collect things in one post later on.

PS have added some dirt, mud, leaves, grass, and trees to the album, i made a album surface and i put some in tree structures. Can you have a look if this is what you are looking for? All are wholepictures so i have not cut out parts. Went just a trip around my house but it is kind of autumn winter here so leaves all over the place.

Let me know if this is what you want please and if you want something different.
All pictures of course free of use if someone can use them.

Pia
