General Rules

• Don't be rude to the staff or other members. It's just no fun when people are rude.
• Keep all posts no more than PG-13. R and M rated movies, games, etc. may be discussed, but your discussions of them must remain within the PG-13 limit.
• No discussions of ROM's or emulators, and no links to them. It is against Invisionfree's Terms of Service.
• Please do not spam (Spread Pointless Annoying Messages). It wastes people's time, and it wastes space on the board. You may reply to old topics in the discussion and help forums, but the reply must be relevant and add to the discussion. For example, bringing back an old topic just to say "lol" or "I agree" is spam.
• Each member can have no more than 1 active account at a time. If you want to change your name, an administrator can do that for you so you don't have to sign up with a new account. There is a topic in the Name Rater forum for this.
• You may change your username up to 4 times in one year.
• Do not ask to become a staff member. I will usually ask for applications when I feel I need more moderators.
• Do not act like a staff member if you are not one (for example, telling someone they will be warned, banned, etc. especially if that was your only reason for posting on that topic.) You can, however, politely point out something that someone has done wrong, or help them with a question if you know the answer.
• Use common sense. ;)
• Double posting is allowed (but not in the RPG section) as long as there are 24 hours between posts. The only exception to this is if you have written so much that it will not all fit in one post, such as a long chapter in a fan fic.

Journeys/Battling

• When battling Pokémon, please do not end your battles. The staff member who replies to your journey will decide when and how it ends. The same sort of thing goes for catching Pokémon. The staff member replying to your topic will decide whether you catch it or not. Check out other people's topics for examples if you're unsure what to do.
• When posting in the RPG section, only reply to your own journey. Only mods and admins can reply to another member's journey.
  Any replies you make to anyone else's journey is counted as spam, even if they asked you to do it.
• The routes and towns do not need to be visited in the order listed. You may start on any route except Path of Essence. You can visit a town only after you have completed at least one route next to it. "Completing" a route means that a staff member has closed it. You can visit a town without visiting the shrine on that route. (You may want to heal anyway before visiting the shrine.) After completing a route, you do not need to complete it again in order to visit the shrine. For example, you could complete the Cephal Ocean route, visit Zante, and then go straight to the shrine in Cephal Ocean. Or you could go right to the shrine after completing the route without visiting Zante. Once you have completed a route, you may move on to any other route, even if it is not near the one you have just completed.
• You cannot be in two places at once. The only exception to this is in sidequests, since they are not part of your journey.
• All posts in the RPG section (from Willow Way to Dragonair's Den) must contain at least 15 words. If your post contains less than that, you may not get a reply. Pokemon Centers and Pokemarts are an exception to this. Pokemon Center and Pokemart posts also do not need to be in character.
• You are also required to have a link to your profile and your journey in your signature in order to get a reply and to participate in promos.
• If you do not get a reply to your journey (or RPG profile) for at least 72 hours, you may post in the Reply Request forum. There is no need to PM a staff member for a reply. You may get a warning for doing this.
• You may give each of your Pokemon up to two attack commands in one post during a battle.
• Using your Pokedex, you may switch out your party Pokémon with those in your box. However, Pokémon will not be healed by putting them in the box.

Signatures

• Your signature must not be larger than 625 pixels wide and 300 pixels high. There is a picture attached at the bottom of this post to show that size.
• Music, flash and Java codes may not be placed in your signature.

Advertisements

• The only places you can advertise your site are in the Links forum and in your signature. Advertising by PM is spam. (However, you may send someone a link by PM if they asked for it.)
• Any sites you advertise must not contain adult content or links to ROM's/emulators.

Chatroom Rules

• Please do not type in all caps. In a chatroom, this is like yelling.
• Just like on the site, you should also not be rude to anyone in the chat.
• Anyone with a ~ or @ or % in front of their name is staff of Dragonair's Den, Ghost Tower, or the server, so obey them, or face their wrath.
• Do not flood. This means that you should not type a large number of lines or repeat things in a short amount of time (for example, saying "hi" 5 times in 2 seconds).
• Do not ask for status (~, @, %, or +) in front of your name. This is like asking to be a moderator on the site. The best way to get status is to earn it.
• The bot rule has been phased out as the bot has been removed at the request of the OPs. Please don't not ask for the bot to be reinstated. That is under the jurisdiction of the channel owners. ( -- Vash)
• If you DON'T like someone in the chatroom use the IGNORE (/ignore name) function. There is also a user mode to block out PMs as well (/mode yourname +D).
