One year ago I lost someone very special to me. I keep pictures of her on my wall at work. As Elliott said, she is totally smiling now. Amanda, sweetie, you're with me always. I miss you but somehow I still hear your voice.

I was there beside her. My husband was the one who got that great shot of her with Elliott, she loved so much. I enjoyed getting to know this young woman who displayed so much strength and love to total strangers, but yet I didn't feel like a stranger with her. I felt like a long lost friend. That was the first time we met in person at that show in Memphis. But we talked for hours on my phone. She was so inspiring to me. Her fight, her courage. -------------------- |

Wednesday would have been Amanda's 23rd birthday. Tammy just posted on Facebook that she would like everyone to honor Amanda's memory by doing one of her favorite things, having ice cream.
