[Due to the huge number of spam we've been receiving on the board recently, I'm afraid I've had to introduce admin validation for new registrants. What should happen is that when you try to register, I then approve you and then you'll be able to post to the board. However, sometimes I do accidently refuse permission, mainly because it's sometimes a bit difficult to distinguish spam from non-spam. So it's also a good idea to also send me an email as well. From Tribanda pictures, Spain, in their SERGIO LEONE Y SERGIO CORBUCCI collection, is the recently released ROMULO Y REMO. It's 2.35:1 anamorphic, and pictorially better than the Koch Media version (whose strange aspect ratio looked to be part-way between Letterbox and Anamorphic, and was edge-cropped) or the French Rene Chateau version (which was full-width letterbox, but rather grainy).
There's a choice of English or Spanish Audio, with optional Spanish subtitles. Quite why Sergio Leone's name is so prominent on the video sleeve, is a bit of a mystery, since he was only one of eight scriptwriters, whilst Corbucci directed. Presumably it's just a marketing ploy, but if this excellent release is the result, then I don't mind at all. |
