Name;; Lysergic (also prefers to be called Lys or Sergic)
Gender;; Female
Age;; 3 ½ years
Height;; 46 inches tall
Weight;; 50 lbs
Species;; Black swan
Personality;; It seems that just to spite her exterior appeal, she was given a tainted set of personality traits. Lysergic often swings inexplicably and without warning between being soft & introverted and being snappish & distrusting. The original malleable nature she was given as a cygnet has virtually vanished, heated and hammered into a sharp tongue used as a lethal weapon. The contrast between these two sides of her is stark and well-drawn sometimes or at other times the borders are blurred and undefined. Sometimes the sweet half will slip in when she intends to really intimidate someone and will ruin the harsh effect she worked so hard to maintain, to protect herself. Other times she will mean to be kind and considerate but a double-edged dagger will weasel its way into her vocabulary. Lysergic could be described as bipolar but with one main difference; there is treatment for bipolar disorder. That’s more than you can say for Lysergic. She doesn’t intend to drive anyone away emotionally anymore than she intends to attract them with her vivid colors. It’s just she finds it difficult to balance the two hemispheres that occupy everything that she says, thinks, or does. There just is not a cure for someone like her.
Image/manip/Table;; I guess this will do for now:
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp332/u...lack_swan06.jpgAppearance;; First and foremost, your first impression of Lysergic brings to mind an experience with acid. Like a LSD trip, everything about her is color coordinated. Her main coloring of black makes the blue, green, and purple that accents parts of her body really stand out. Her tail and wing tips are a neon display of lime, sapphire, turquoise, amethyst, violet, emerald, and indigo; white markings scroll across her face, slender neck, and breast. Both her legs and beak seem to be carved out of ivory, with black talons. Her dazzling plumage puts a peacock’s famed tail to shame. Large, almond shaped eyes the vibrant hue of polished amazonite peek out timidly from beneath heavy lids and dark lashes, reflecting a natural born curiosity about the wondrous world around her. Despite all this, Lysergic is decidedly more comfortable in the water. On land she feels vulnerable. And even with a wingspan to match her height, she finds flight in the air to be a slightly awkward affair.
History;; When you looked at the solid facts, Lysergic should not have turned out so…lysergic-looking. No, not with a plain gray mother and an ordinarily white swan father (proud as he was of his pure stereotypical looks), she should have been average. Worth a second glance at the least. But of course, she was far from that. Not at first; Lys was born an ugly shade of dull pewter, near a pond in the fields of Gorverdo, to a clutch of seven regular eggs, a number that made her parents proud. As lucky numero siente, she was VERY lucky when a flock of hawks skipped over her and took her older siblings instead. In the space of a single afternoon, Sergic went from overlooked runt of the nest to jealously guarded sole heir. Her adolescence was marked by the disappearance of her mother, who deserted the family when her daughter failed to grow the classic feathers of a proper swan. Gave up on Lysergic, her father said. She maintained her gray plume until very recently, when suddenly she started losing down like crazy, traded it in for a shiny set of iridescent black feathers with the sheen of oil spilled on a nocturnal ocean. Still, her outer cocoon beauty was overshadowed by her soft personality, molded into shape by the abandonment she felt all that time and the cruelty she received from her temperamental father. Lysergic attempted to support her emotional dependence by trying to cling to her flock mates, but they rejected her for her appearance. They harbored an envious streak against her for years and eventually she turned to wandering on her own. Isolation has made her mistrustful and unwilling to become involved once more.
