When you say it's gonna happen now - well, when exactly do you mean?

A year ago, the End came: the world fell asleep, and only a few awoke. Those who did found themselves in a world vastly different from the one they'd known before. With most of the population gone, everything seemingly shut down, and rebuilding has not been as fast as it would be with a blank slate.

Those that remain are split in two, humans and-- not.

I am the son and heir of nothing in particular.

They are the Jumpers, those who can travel through time, can tweak and mold the past to change the present. Just a scant few years ago, the Jumpers appeared, the ability taking root in mostly the young, in just a few, and time began to change.

How can you say I go about things the wrong way?

Now, as the world attempts to rebuild itself, Jumpers are both feared and hated. Perhaps the prejudice is well-founded-- maybe one did destroy the world-- and perhaps it isn't-- maybe one can save it.
