Exist is a sci-fi RPG set in the fictional city of Blue Valley, New Hampshire. Beginning in 09.09.09, the city is plagued by an increasing number of otherworldly events, 'ghosts' breaking through from the other side and walking amongst the living.
The Primary Plot circles around the idea of a parallel world coming into contact with our own. For whatever reason, the veil between our existence and theirs is thinning, and openings begin to crop up all over town. 'Doorways' are holes between the worlds, that allow people or creatures to pass through seamlessly from one world to the next.
'Windows' are more common. They allow people to see across the rift somewhat (think double exposure on film - the other image is blurred, grainy, shadowy, or vague), without crossing it themselves.
The 'other world' is very similar to our own. Same people, but different environment. There are creatures plaguing their world, things we've never seen. And unfortunately for us, their bleeding over into our world now.
We are very open to secondary plots and subplots throughout the city. (it's a big place - lots for people to do).

Recently, a series of events that can only be described as supernatural have been unfolding in the city of Blue Valley. There are ghosts in the streets, voices in the darkness. People are going missing and horrors are reappearing in their wake.
Who can you trust when no one knows the truth? Who will you side with, as the world spins out of control?
