CONTACT: PM And I've got something to say Corinne James Atticus AGE: Nineteen GENDER: Femme SEXUALITY: Straight HOMETOWN: Detroit, Michigan, then Chicago, Illinois, now San Francisco, California CAREER Singer in the band, Nominal Nightmare. FACE: Audrey Kitching PERSONALITY: Corinne rarely, if ever, goes by her full first name 'Corinne' unless her mother is talking to her. Usually she goes by variations of her name like Cori, Ceej, CJ... etc. She has a very intense personality, loud, hyperactive, and extremely blunt... she doesn't sugarcoat things. Because of this, Cori has a way of making some people feel awkward, just because she is so 'out there'. Cori is a performer and is definitely meant for the stage... even in her everyday life not on stage she's entertaining people. She's a jokester and a daredevil who loves anything fun. All fun and games aside, Ceej can also be serious when the time comes, she's rarely serious... but there are moments when she knows that she needs to take it down a notch. She's a very passionate and compassionate person. Behind her badass exterior there's a really sweet and sensitive person inside. Though she doesn't show this sensitive side very often, she's a fairly closed off person when it comes to her emotional side and only thoughs close to her get to see, hear, or experience it. Because of her tough exterior she can take criticism really well without it effecting her... or at least looking like it effects her, she doesn't let people get to her and if they do she doesn't show it. She bottles it up for later and uses it as fuel to continue to be better at what she does and to work harder to prove them wrong. What many people know or will find out about her is that she's a very determined person, she doesnt like being told she cant do something or isn't as good as someone else... this can make her a little competitive too because she likes coming out on top and she loves being center of attention. She's not a huge bitch like she might come across sometimes, actually she's a really nice person... you just have to get used to the way she expresses things. Ceej is also very affectionate and very touchy feely, she doesn't have boundaries and often times steps across other peoples... she loves hugs, kisses, cuddling, holding hands... girls, boys, it doesnt matter. She's straight, but she'll still kiss girls... not like full on make out, but she give them a kiss... like her best friend Ainsley, they give each other kisses everytime they greet each other... they're like sisters. Growing up she didn't have a father, her father died when she was 2 years old from lung cancer because he had been a chain smoker since he had been 12. Before he died he would smoke about a pack and a half a day. Her mother never remarried and rarely ever had a boyfriend, but when she did... they never lasted too long. Finally, when Corinne turned 9, her mother decided it was time for a change in scenery, plus the fact that she could no longer afford the house they lived in, but she always just told Corinne it was because she was tired of Detroit and wanted a change. So they ended up moving to Chicago, Illinois to live with her Grandpa James, the man she was middle named after. Corinne's grandpa was a very old man and was at the point in his life where he was starting to forget facts about his life and replaced them with new, made up ones. He always had wonderfully interesting stories to tell... Corinne could never tell if they were real or not, though she suspected the one about fighting the dragons was made up... her grandpa was completely serious when telling her the story though. Grandpa James was a wonderful and caring man. Even though he was old, grey and senial he was still the same charming, intelligent and sweet man he had always been. When Corinne and her mother moved to Chicago, Corinne was in 4th grade and was really worried about starting off at a new school... but she had always been very outgoing growing up and she turned out having no problems making friends, infact she met a girl named Ainsley Beil who would later become known as Mrs. Johnathan Chaise... Johnathan Chaise was another friend she had met and made the same year as Ainsley, he was a year older, but still lived in the same neighborhood and went to the same school. Growing up the three became inseperable, Corinne could always see and sense a flirtacious vibe between her two best friends. High-School was a blast, Johnny and Corinne actually sung together in a band for a while... until Corinne and Ainsley decided to start up their own thing with two girls they met and became to love. The four girls named themselves 'Nominal Nightmare' with Corinne on Vocals and sometimes Guitar and Ainsley on Bass... they were bad ass. It was also in High-School that Johnny proposed to Ainsley... which Corinne couldn't have been happier to see the two get hitched. She was the Maid of Honor at their wedding, which was beautiful and such a blast. Graduation came and they all had to make a decision on what to do with their lives... naturally they all wanted to pursue their dreams in music and so they made the very serious decision of moving to California to try to make it big. It was a big transition for all of them, especially Corinne to leave her mom... who now lived alone in Chicago since her grandfather had died her freshman year of high-school. He left Corinne and her mother a fair amount of money and the house, but after graduation it was hard to leave her mother even though her mother wanted her to be happy and do what she loved. Now, just a year after graduating things are finally looking up for Nominal Nightmare and Halfpast Tuesday, both bands have been signed by FREAKshow Records and are starting their careers in the cut-throat music industry.
