Yep. Another day where I was bored enough to write something handy.

[FUD] Game Talk Scanner is in the Software Downloads page. As ever, its free to enjoy by all.

Here is the description:

Extracts all the Say, Team Say and Tell commands from the Game Log (not PB logs...) Output is to an HTML file and text is coloured depending on which Say command was used. Chat is also split by Map and round change separators.

Hope you find it useful (and notify me of bugs, etc).

Edit: I ran an old log that I had used for the stats and got some crazy results. I'm not sure what the server stats program done to the log, but the solution was to open the log in WordPad and save it. Didn't do anything else. I think the stats program is removing the line feed character at the end of each line. Saving it in WordPad restores this character.

Cheers

Hmm. Not seen that one (I use winxp home + sp2). The only time this software accesses the internet is if you click on the web address on the GUI.

Try putting those additional files in the same folder as the executable.

Keep me informed and if anyone else has XP Pro, could they please try this software out and let us know.

If the problem persists I'll remove the code that opens the FUD home page and that should cure it.

Thanks for the feedback. Let me know if it persists.

Cheers.

Send me an email - scope@fud-clan.co.uk - and I'll compile and send you a version without the internet access. It was just a nicety anyway and entierly unnecessary smile.gif

If its successfull I'll post a new version without the click to goto FUD web site.

Cheers again Wolfie.

I've put another - non internet - version onto the downloads page. I've called it v1.1, but its not really. Its just the same verstion with the "click to open" functionality removed.

Here is a direct link: .:Edit:. Removed link as original version works.

(For those that couldn't get this going, when it finished processing, all you had to do was click the software GUI and it opened your browser with the log that it just processed, but that function is now gone, so you need to open it yourself smile.gif )

Have a look and let me know if its OK Wolfie.

Cheers.

Ah ha! If I had read your original post, Wolfie, I might not have had to create a separate version - not that it was any trouble to do.

I have found the following information which might be useful to you - especially if you want to run the other FUD softwares smile.gif

QUOTE
Component MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not currently registered ...

Sometime certain Microsoft Libraries can become unregistered when installing and uninstalling a lot of software. One very common problem is the MSCOMCTL.OCX.

To correct the error, first search your drive for MSCOMCTL.OCX to see if you have it. If not you can download it from HERE

The file should be placed in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

Once it is there click START--> RUN and type "REGSVR32 MSCOMCTL.OCX" (No quotes) in the box.

That should fix the problem.

The above information was taken from Major Geeks Website.

PS. I've removed the v1.1 info from the Software page, but that direct link above will still work for a while - though I don't think it will be necessary any more.

Cheers.
