I can't even imagine how much it must suck for you to once again have to leave a "home". But I hope that you will come here and do your best to preserve your old community.

I'm just as surprised as most of you probably are. Right now I'm about to establish an account on fanfiction.net. I've just been told that you can't publish Original Fiction there.
Does anybody know a site where you can post original stuff? |

I think that you can post original stuff there i mean i am seeing a lot of that, i just got on there myself so yeah, but it looks as though you can. |

Fictionpress.com is probably the safest bet. It's a site made for original fiction. |

I can't believe they've shut you guys down with almost no warning twice in a few weeks!
For fanfiction, try fanfiction.net - but be aware, their rules are more restrictive than fanlib was. No real person fic, no second person, no song lyrics, and spellcheck/proofreading is a requirement. They don't often check - but when they do, they don't edit or send you an email, they delete your account without warning. Also, you HAVE to use the horizontal ruler to scenebreak. Blank lines, repeated asterisks etc. just get stripped and then your fic looks like you didn't break it up... For original fiction, their sister site is fictionpress (so if you know how one works you know how both work). |

Yeah, it's insane! cathrl, I know we had our rough times (from 1 review...haha, not many rough times) but we can be friends, right? I did the Camp Rock story you broke down...and I replied, but we can be friends...?
I used to be on FanFiction, and you're right. They don't let you do script format, like if you wanna do Truth Or Dare. They don't let you do songfics...I'm pretty sure. And yeah, they make you proofread. It's insane. I think they delete your account when you become a repeat offender, but hey, maybe times have changed...even the Internet is becoming worse nowadays, like the real world we all live in.
They need to do one with both. Because otherwise...you have to post both of your usernames. They don't provide a link for dual users. *cries* Thank u misskitten for doing this for us! I hope we can find a permanent home...I feel like one of those little wildlife animals who has to keep moving as man burns down their habitat (guilt trip for ya, lol.). SAVE OUR HOME!! |
