Title: Interesting things you found on the internet!
Description: This thread can has links?

El Nerdo Loco - March 7, 2010 10:08 AM (GMT)
Seeing as about the only activity these forums have seen in a while is focused on a loosely defined game, I am hopeful there is some demand for another loosely defined but perhaps entertaining thread!

My aim is that this thread become a great repository of... Stupendous wastes of time? If there is anything that you wish to share that can be reached through a simple link, what is the hold up? Music, videos, websites, games, articles, whatever you think others may appreciate, this is a suitable place to post it and perhaps even for the rest of us to discuss it!

I have a few things of my own, but I want to be sure others can get behind this idea. If this thread is doomed before it even gets started, I'd rather not give it false hope.

Sounds like a fun idea, I have a few links that I can post up.

Daily Jigsaw
That's a jigsaw game that has a new picture everyday, its a fun way to waste 5-10 minutes

Let's see what I got:

1. http://www.kongregate.com - is an entire site dedicated to indy game designers who make flash games etcetera. Milage may vary between games, but some of the more fun ones I enjoy include:

Elona Shooter (clicky-based defend the castle with rpg elements)
Pandemic 2 (create a virus, infect, destroy)
Gemcraft Zero (desktop defender type with rpg elements)

Safety is relative, but I haven't had any warning lights go off from there yet.

2. If you need a pick me up there's the 'cheezburger' network, which has about thirty or so categories of quick-pick lols at: http://cheezburger.com/sites

3. Speaking of lols, there's http://notalwaysright.com/ which if anyone here works in the service business, we can definately relate.

4. Lastly, http://www.cracked.com/ is a sort of NSFW virtual version of the magazines I used to read. Full of humour in its own right.

5.* I don't have time for games, but there's a NSFW critic I like to follow callsed Zero Punctuation. Often shares my views on some games but sometimes despite the harsh criticism, the games are still fun.

I've got a hundred or more time-vampires, but those are just the ones off the top of my head to get the ball rolling.

*=added after the fact.

Thank you for the replies. Given the comics' continued inactivity and my desire to keep these forums alive in case Rae ever does decide to start updating regularly again, I think we should refocus this thread on what we are all here for. Entertainment. Daily jigsaw and Kongregate were great sites for this. I would like to add Newgrounds.com for those with similar interests.

I would also like to state that not all entertainment here need be interactive. This is a place for any type of media you enjoy. It could be links, videos, movies, TV shows, music, or anything else you like. Anything you can think of that entertains you, please share it here!

From youtube alone, I can produce Bo Burnham, MC Frontalot, and Hard 'n Phirm. (the first and last links have almost certainty offensive language)

I know all of you have other interesting things to share. Do not hold out!

From Newgrounds, I can link http://futuresquirrel.newgrounds.com/flash/, all of their submissions are great to watch.
