Title: August Updates

Rae - August 1, 2011 02:22 AM (GMT)
I am back! With the first update of August. It's a Faulty Logic update today, and I'll shoot for a Dissonance update on Friday.

Just had to work out a bit of silly

I'll let my good friend Samuel L. Jackson handle this one.

"Hamburgers! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast."

(wait, what?)

So, does this mean I'm fictional? Because I'm pretty sure the courts ruled that fictional characters don't have to pay taxes and I'm thinking I need to have a talk with the tax man about a HUGE refund I have coming my way.

It's up! Now I curl up and dies. *flops*

Aww, don't do that. Miranda would never forgive us if you died doing your comics.

(Bioware deserves a few good rants, though.)

Yay, Valve was mentioned.
I'm assuming all the things that Jalyss mentioned are now cannon.

Calbeck - August 16, 2011 03:23 AM (GMT)
Verily, I am a-squee with delight. -:D

Narric - August 16, 2011 06:16 PM (GMT)
Yay, another "Jalyss Dislikes" I love these best. :D

I prefer Fable myself.

Fable 2 > Fable 3

Is anyone else getting chills down their spine?

I found out a really good friend of mine got me Mass Effect minutes before seeing that...

(Yes, I have been under a rock for about this past week)

Oddly enough, I just beat Mass Effect for the 360. I'm a very patient guy, so I enjoyed driving around every single planet in the galaxy with the Mako rover-thingy. It handles beautifully, it can climb pretty much anything up to an 85 degree angle, and as soon as I figured out how to zoom and operate the cannon, I could kill anything with it.

I chose Vanguard for my class, so I was pistol and shotgun with a side of Biotic powers. Later in the game, I found out the proper combination of weapon and mods to make my pistol horrendously overpowered against pretty much anything except the final boss and the toughest enemies. Coupled with Lift, and I could send enemies drifting and clip them out of the sky with 3 to 4 shots.

Commanding teammates isn't much of a problem on the 360. Using the D-pad, you can tell them to move to a location, stick by you, target an enemy, or fall back to cover. I hear complaints about them getting in the way of the line-of-fire, but usually they stay by my side.

Overall, it was a fun Sci-Fi role playing experience. I like Bioware; I think they do good work.

Jalyss dislikes are a great combination of humor/ actual review for games. Now I want a 360. or a good computer.

*'noms' Fox with a pair of teeth on a plastic extender rod*

He deserves it after all the people he's fox-nipped, and we're too quiet anyway.
