Title: Revive the forum

Rikke - October 6, 2007 10:08 AM (GMT)
Oh gawd, I'v been away for a long time. I Sure hope nobody's been missing my company. ;)
However, I did notice, upon my return, that it seemed awfully dead in here. :D So I kinda hope that we could revive the forum. :D

So, what have I been up to while I was away. Well, actually, apart from starting studying again, I've been taking care of a good friend of mine, Heidi, who burned out from her salesman job. At 23! Classical symptoms that you'd normally only find in people who'd been working for 20+ years. Funny how a job that stresses competition and performance can burn out a beautiful, resourceful and happy young woman.
So, she's been living at our place for a while. :D She's loads of fun to be with, really, when she's not stressed and drained.
Apart from that, we've got a really beautiful autum going on here in Denmark, with an almost sickening blue sky, and nice leaves in shades from dying green to deep red. The pesky little red squirrel that was stealing moss out of our roof has also returned.
So... What have you guys been up to?

A squirrel?! He must be spying on you... I'd sleep lightly, you never know when you could become the next target on the fuzzy-tree-rodents' hit list...

Been busy with work and slowly finishing Bioshock. Need to finish Bioshock before HL2: Episode 2 comes out.

And of course, continuing to work on my photography. That might slow down a bit in the cooler months as most of my subject matter will become dormant. I'll have to find something else to take photos of that doesn't have six or more legs.

Been trying to emphasize music and drawing more, but progress has been slow on both fronts.

I don't think I could ever work sales. I'm too honest and don't like to BS people, which seems required these days. It also looks WAY too stressful as your friend demonstrates.

And do be careful of the Squirrels. Fox is definitely onto something with them.

Eh, I've really been doing nothing. To be honest, I wish I could borrow a little bit of everyone's stress so I could have incentive to do things. Getting a little lethargic :P.

I would imagine Telemarketing would be hard on the soul.

"Good evening sir, I'm calling to tell you about-"
"I'm not interested." *click*

"Good evening ma'am, I'm calling to tell you abo-"
"I'm in the middle of dinner, jerk." *click*

"Good evening sir, I'm calling to-"
"Eat shit and die" *click*

...Darn, I think I just wasted a perfectly good comic joke.

Skyen, who's in here once in a while, actually has a tele-sales-like-job. I think he's doing analysis, though. But anyways, he seems to be pretty damn tired of people. :D He's got a few comics dedicated to that on his webcomic.
As of today, we've got autums holiday. :D Yayness! Time to read up on all the shit I've missed. :D
