And so Jason gracefully leaves the spotlight for now. Fear not, cat lovers, he will make a return.

In response to news. Why wouldn't it be a three-fingered universe? Aren't they all.

Usually it's just considered and art style. I simply wanted to state that the choice of three-fingers on the creature was an visual style choice and not actually an aspect of its biology.

You said "three-fingered universe", but in that last panel they both have 4 fingers =S

Are they mutants, or is that some kind of sick parallel universe where thumbs aren't considered fingers?

I believe the confusion here is a result of different definitions of the word, Finger. Some people consider the thumb to be a finger, others do not since it is single jointed. Either think of it as three fingers and a thumb, or four fingers. Never four fingers and a thumb.

Anyway, since no one has said it yet, Get well soon Rea.

Perhaps "three fingers and a thumb" would have been more clear, but that is what I meant.

On a side note. Yesterday's comic is finally done and is waiting in the comicgenesis queue to update.

Perhaps a news post for those of us that got their education from the American public school system, and don't know what they are talking about with all these words like procyonid and plantigrade.

Platigrade mammals are mammals that walk "Flatfooted", examples would be Humans, Raccoons, most apes. Anything where the Heel touches the ground.

The opposite of this would be Digitigrade, creatures like cats, dogs, horses etc where the back legs are three-jointed

Procyonids are a family of creatures that includes raccoons.

I know keeping a consistent schedule is tough, but currently the pacing in the last couple of comics seems to be off. It seems like they'd flow better when combined into one large strip. Don't feel you have to stick to one 'strip' for each comic if it'd better suit the story with more. You have the infinite canvas to work with, so don't feel restricted by a certain comic 'size'

Previously I would have agreed with you on that comment, but that kind of thinking is what caused my epic burnout while doing Faulty Logic. For the time being, I really need to keep these strict confines of the strip or I am going to risk eventually becoming overwhelmed.

Hmm, I sorta see what you mean. You're saying that having the ability to make more decisions creates too much indecision? That's quite the dilemma. I'm just wondering if the current size is too small to fit any exchange that would take more than three panels. A fixed size that's twice as 'deep' would accommodate more scenes without having to split them up in awkward places, and allow you to play around with more visually interesting panel layout when the extra space isn't needed. But perhaps this would still provide too much choice for you?

*sigh* I want to help out with advice when I can, but I'm being no help at all, aren't I? sad.gif
