This years World 300 would be a good chance for the Speedrome Stockers to come down here and take home some of that money. Since the car count is WAY down and most of the cars can't seem to complete more than 50 laps, all you need to do is stay out of trouble and make laps to get a good finish(plus the $500 highest finishing out-of-towner bonus). I think with some track time and tweaking of the suspension the stockers could turn some really good laps. If no out-of-towners show up, the World 300 is going to be a joke.

We are thinking about bringing down my stocker, but don't know if it would be legal. We need to do some research I guess.

jm127 its not going to happen. speedrome stocks just don't travel. Best chance to get any cars at all to show up would be for MG to be walking around the pits this saturday shaking some hands. As crazy as this sounds, I almost think MG would pull in more cars switching this to an outlaw race.

Heck, just let the outlaws run. No big wings and run our track tire. Something needs to be done to get cars on the track and butts in the seat. No one is going to go there and watch 15 X8 cars and 5 dromers run a 300 lap race, with maybe 5 running at the end. I also think if the X8 car count doesn't improve, the division will eventually meet the same fate as the Modified 8 cars did.

yeah, i think the 300 is in trouble.. not enough cars.. what about letting the outlaws run and have 2 classes like the 3 hour?? would have to restructure the payouts, more money but, more cars and more fans in the stands.. i hope!!

It would be smart for any out of towner with a car to show up and run Saturday(you don't even have to run Friday if you don't want because they will start up to 36 cars,so you could show up Saturday and still make the starting field,you could get $500 PLUS your finish position money)....and if the big races threw the tire rules out the window then more cars would run,just limit the tire width but let the guys run their track tire

I understand the Swinfords are wanting to come down for the World 300 now. They may bring two or three cars from Anderson. One of the cars I think could be the xtreme stocker that they have. Word has it, Raymond Johnson could be driving one.

Bartman you might be able to get hawk to ask around for you. I bet alot ofguys have some laying around but they dont get on this website so in return they cant help out. Id ask for you but i dont think im very well liked around there.lol. Be nice to do a last minute tire rule change just to get this race back where it needs to be.
