We heard about this happening up there over the off season. I guess it's safe to say there won't be anymore figure 8 racing going on there. That's sad. I mean, it doesn't look like they could get much of a good race out of that dirt track like that.

yeah i dont see it working, i have had many convos with people invovled in the process, the plan is to run the asphalt on friday nights, and the dirt on select saturdays so they have time to clean off the asphalt, but that track is small and they have some big series coming in to race on it, i see it making a lot of the asphalt uphappy and looking for another race track, and with lots of tracks close to there. my prediction, it will all be dirt in a few years, sad to, this was a very fun race track and a nice facility when we visited there a few times in 2009 and 2010.

I don't know much about plymouth but that is just sad when you have so many dirt tracks in the state, to see a nice 8 track get destroyed what is the world coming too?

This is coming from a complete idiot but one question I have is. If a midget/sprint were to get upset in the corner push up the track rim and gain traction on the pavement while sideways. Is this going to be good on equipment/drivers?

The dirt track is listed on the tracks web site as a 1/5 mile track the same size as Speedrome. They are listing 360 cubic inch sprint cars with Tony Stewart running. I think the dirt is too small for sprint cars, does anybody remember the disaster when the winged sprint cars ran Speedrome. As for pushing up toward the asphalt remember if a sprint and most midget cars break traction that bad the drivers can't take off again with the push to start type cars. The Kenyon and Ford Focus midgets can start and take off on their own power. The most boring part of most sprint/midget races is waiting on them to start. I not big on dirt and hate the idea on taking out the figure 8.

I was just getting at the car is sideways most of the dirt tracks you hit the brim and can recover im just saying there is not really a brim and you will hit asphalt gain tons of traction while sideways just think it might roll a few cars.
