It needs to be the fastest 24 with alternates. That goes for the 3 hour too. There are too many cars that get tore up early due to cars parking off the back stretch. Have your 24 BEST start the race. Period. That's how every race should be

So Mark your saying you have carb problems whiile qualifying and are 28th fastest you should sit in the pits for the race.

Yeah buff, that's what I'm saying. What's wrong with that? Why would it be fair for me to have a starting spot in front of someone who qualified faster than me whether I had carb issues or not? That's dumb. Have multiple qualifying sessions like the 3 hour because that's fun having guys bumped in and out of the top 24 and a race for the pole. Fastest 24. Period!

So are you saying no transfer spots I should have said . And back when your dad and uncle Bill where your age they would start 40+ cars a night .They never had a second thought about it,so whats the difference,

And they also ran about 3 seconds or more slower back in the day. If it was so easy and my dad, uncle, jack and whoever else, they wouldn't crash out but obviously it's harder. Let me know when you try it for yourself since you're the expert.

I tried it back in the 90's Mark and I never was worth a crap,no one said I was an expert. Simply askinng why
