2 Hour- Any Speedromers Racing?

Thought I would move this out of the Hawk's Nest to see if we can find out if we will see any of the Speedrome Stockers come down for the 2 hour enduro this Saturday. I know Mike Burgess was thinking about it but is not going to make it after he suffered some damage from last week. MG said on the track's radio show that he has gotten a few calls from some drivers of the Stockers. So we may see a couple of them try it. Anyone have any clues as to who might be interested? Just so everyone knows, the Speedrome Stockers are legal for the 2 hour enduro and the World 300 at the end of the season. You only have to pay a $15 non-member fee this week along with the $30 to get in the pits. Then it's a $15 entry fee for the car. So it would total out to be $45 per person plus $15 for the entry fee.
So who do we got? Nigel Peters? Speedy Teepe? Larry Hahn? EJ Neat?

well i would have to say you will not see any of the drivers you mentioned above as saturday night is a points race for us. guys like burgess and collins may be wanting to come but for the rest of the guys in the top ten at the speedrome i can pretty much garuntee will not be there. Orignaly this was one of the races i planned on attending but we have fought hard to get into 8th place in points and wanna stay there after jeff didnt start the first two races of the season

this is where tracks should work together to help put over each others big races, give the speedrome a stockers and night off and show up points for the sportsdrome race, then speedrome could have a big stock race, and do the same thing, in the end everyone wins, most of all the drivers and fans, but after everything that has been tried, i just dont see anything like this happening....

I guess he could be an option, but he is setting 3rd in points at Anderson. I would assume he will be at Anderson.

I say it every year, Speedrome guys don't travel much. They run so many races every year, many can't afford to run other places. I would love to see the speedrome do something with show up points or something, but they would screw that up by running a race on Friday night. Its also hard to convince a Speedrome guy to run down south, because when the Southern guys come North, they normally win. I really wish MG would put the 2hour in the place of the world 300. Both are relatively the same length. The 300 is after the season making it more of an option for guys to travel in. The 2 hour is hard on equipment and in years past guys have left there cars at home. Right now the great thing about this race, is that if you can make it to the checkard, your garunteed a top 10 finish. Depending on the fall out rate, top 5 is not out of the question.

I guess I sort of forgot about the points and all. With this being an oval week for the stockers, I'm hoping that a few might think about it. And like I said, MG said he did get a few calls about the race from some guys up there. But I guess we will see come Saturday. Donny, it would have been cool to have you guys down here for this race. How about the World 300?

THE WORLD 300 IS 1 AWESOME RACE ...I HAEV RACED IN IT AND THE SEUP IS JUST PLAIN NICE....THE SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY COMES OUT WHEN US NORTHERN GUYS SHOW UP....ME AND STEWART WENT DOWN 2 YEARS IN A ROW....I WOULD GO IN A HEART BEAT IF I HAD A CAR.....THAT RACE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE.....DONNY YOUR CAR WOULD BE GOOD DOWN THERE....

I would love to run the world 300 but thats not entirely up to me, i guess the driver has to get a vote lmao but really i just don't see the money being there to run tires hotels etc.. we are on a very strict budget right now oh wait we dont have a budget lol. we are running good sitting in 8th in points and with jeff missing two races. we are doing the best we can with what we have and im proud of that we still have the same four tires and wheels on the car we started with, excpet right rear and its used from a teammate, hell we only have one spare wheel lmao. but i do wanna say that even though we don't have any money sponsors on our car the help we get is second to none. Dave Peters has opened up his shop to me and Jeff And him and nigel are like family to us. Yes i built the car but without the help of mr. 3 time Speedy teepe it wouldn't be running the way it is. He shares all setup and adjustments with us and thats awesome. the car goes to daves every week and me jeff speedy and dave and nigel get her ready but also a great help is the big unit and jerry gulley jr and my crew chief josh land. we will however be bringing another stocker to the track week which will be a backup car to the peters pack drivers and will be my ride in the kennys 100 so maybe i will bring my new car down with a driver

if the swinfords would of know about the race im sure we would of put another car together hell we got one that raymond help build maybe we can get something together for the 300 again maybe raymond will be back n it
