I'm wondering if the Wf8 race Sunday will use the Speedrome regular season yellows or the 3 hour yellows? If you look at the 3 hour results since 1984 which was the first year of the current yellow flag rules you will notice a wide range of laps completed. If they use the 3 hour format it is a crap shoot how many laps will be completed. If the regular season racing on yellow format is used it should be 300 or more going by recent results for the one hour. What could make it interesting if the use the 3 hour format will the cars have enough fuel or will they have to stop. If they use the regular season format and the race goes green for a long time I think some of if not all the front runners will need fuel to finish. Green flag pit stops?

what about starting field, do all start, or just fastest 24 or so, then have alternates, would make for a much better race...

jeremy6 and other drivers can you make the distance on fuel and do you think you will have to stop for tires to keep up?

Well i heard its 3 hour format also and starting straight up from qualifying most likely. one thing I am unsure of is like charlie said....how many lock in or does everyone get to start the races....I'm predicting 35 or more cars to qualify. kinda nervous to even race in it honestly.

It needs to be the fastest 24 with alternates. That goes for the 3 hour too. There are too many cars that get tore up early due to cars parking off the back stretch. Have your 24 BEST start the race. Period. That's how every race should be

So Mark your saying you have carb problems whiile qualifying and are 28th fastest you should sit in the pits for the race.

yep, i agree, like the old days, fastest cars make the race, add someone in every 2 mins or when a cars leaves the track. to many good cars get torn up way to early becuase of the hectic 30 or more starters, also leans the field out for the late stages of the race. Ben i would be to buddy, got a long year ahead of you, and unless you win this race, you will loose money; lots of wear and tear on the car, risk of beating it up pretty bad, but that just like every figure-8 race, lol, should be a very good race.

Yeah buff, that's what I'm saying. What's wrong with that? Why would it be fair for me to have a starting spot in front of someone who qualified faster than me whether I had carb issues or not? That's dumb. Have multiple qualifying sessions like the 3 hour because that's fun having guys bumped in and out of the top 24 and a race for the pole. Fastest 24. Period!

yeah me and the guys were talking the other night about how they ran 30 or more cars every night and ran 2-3 nights in a row and managed to do so without killing eachother then, so why is it so hard when we have that many cars now? I dont get it, but it is different than it was. any time we start that many cars now, it looks like a racecar cemetery in the pits after. and I cant afford to, nor have the time to fix a destroyed racecar. but, having lots of cars is what its all about, so I'm just going to do my best.

now there are so many good cars, they everyone has a desent shot to win, i mean think about it, last years 3-hour there were 20 or more cars that could have won, back in the day you had 4-6 cars that could win, a few more desent cars, and a bunch of guys that just did it becuase they loved it, no it more about the money, and so many guys have so much money in these cars, they have to win, the money side of it has really taken alot of the fun out of the deal, and some of the heart.

And they also ran about 3 seconds or more slower back in the day. If it was so easy and my dad, uncle, jack and whoever else, they wouldn't crash out but obviously it's harder. Let me know when you try it for yourself since you're the expert.
