Speedrome email recently said Doodle was going to make the trip.

Didn't specify if in a stock or outlaw.

Doodle is planning on making this trip. He will be running the car that he won from the IOFS Stock Championship. The car has a new (different) front clip than what was on it when he first got it. I am assuming the track would determine if he is considered a stock or outlaw. As far as I know, it has a stock front clip and conventional springs. So, whatever that may mean, lol. Regardless, he's just excited to be the first from Bowling Green to attempt this race and hopefully have the opportunity to race along side some of the best figure 8 drivers in the world!

Looks like Corey Turner and Gunderson Motorsports will be teaming up for the 3 Hour. CT will be driving the #33 renumbered to #00.

The west coast guys have definitely leaped over our guys as far as car looks, now if they could just get enough track time to get their speeds and handling dialed in mysmilie_12.gif mysmilie_12.gif

Check out the Gunderson Facebook page before you speak. They said that he would be in the #33 renumbered to #00.

Either way I really am impressed with what is going on out in Washington. Those guys seem to have put the work in and are now on a level playing field.

Even with somewhat equal cars its still not the same. This is there home track for the Speedromers. Track time is key for those guys.

There are a lot of good drivers out there, but that track and race is really unique.

Speedromers will always have an edge in this race. Nothing against them, its just what it is.

Corey can drive and I am a fan, but he got handled by the extreme guys when he ran at Sportsdrome. He didn't have enough seat time on that track with that car to get it totally figured out. That's racing and that's what hurts OOT's in the 3 hour.

The gap has definitely shrunk the last few years!

I have said it for years, you put someone in charge of the speedrome that is willing to enforce all of the rules, and this race will be won by out of towners. Yes the speedrome guys will always have an advantage, but currently that advantage is larger because drivers know what rules to brake. I have said it for years, look at cautions, the race does not stop. You keep passing as many cars as you can. The out of towners never do anything about it. They let the Speedrome guys go right on by like nothing. You put in a scoring system to where you revert to the last lap, and that will clean that BS up. Like the points title, this is more than just a race. It takes strategy. This race is won long before drivers ever show up to the track. The gap is closing each year. The out of towners now have cars that can compete. Now they just need to close the other gaps.
