yeah, we will be, but we have to set it up first, and everyone is sort of settling down with their own threads.

We'll set up a thread soon for it.

A late night thing or a daytime thing? My guys will have to be woken up for it if it's at night, 'cause they've gone to bed.

*shrug* Since there isn't a calendar here, you could assume several days have passed... or that is simply morning already.

I think we should start this thread once the Wiley Coyote thing has ended, since that is sort of the epilog to Machinesmith

The Wiley thread is part of a running sub-plot, something we can keep on the back-burners, and break out whenever we get bored or need a laugh. The "Wiley comes a knockin" thread, since it is just an information gathering thing and not a fight, can take place before/after the proposed danger room (DR) thread, since it won't effect continuity. For the time being, let's just say it happens a few hours before the DR thread, and we can always change it if need be.

Since the Prof is MIA, I will have Jamie kick off a danger room thread, but I don't want to be the only one running the NPC aspect of the DR. I can have Jamie stay in the control room and help direct the excersice overall, but I think the rest of you should include what the DR is doing around you in your posts, and not only in regard to what it is doing to your character. Feel free to use the DR to take a few shots at your teammates biggrin.gif

Oh yeah, one more question.

Should the Gen-X kids be included in the DR thread? If they are, and if no one has a problem with it, I am gonna say that Illy arrived at the school sometime recently so she can participate (as opposed to starting a whole new thread just to intro her to the school)

I suppose we should put this on hold due to nearly 50% of our board randomly dropping. We have four people left. Four.

Plus we have no control over the admin functions of this board. Maybe we should scrap this board and make a new one, where we can be in control?

I dunno. Maybe this is a lost cause. sad.gif We've been working hard to keep it afloat, but a large-scale game with four players won't work no matter what new board we put it on.

We probably should have taken it as a sign to call it quits when our Admin ditched us.

I moved to change to a new board from the beginning. tongue.gif

I'll do some serious advertising later.

Okay, we obviously have hit an iceberg. Women and children first I suppose.

And it may be due to the fact that I have been left Captain which makes feel like I should go down with the ship, but consider this;

I think I can still get admin on this board, a board that is already set up, so why go through the trouble of making a whole new one? Couldn't we get more done by advertising this board in the week or so it would take to make a new one? We can always put things on hold. And I bet if we were real nice to Jean Grey she might be convinced to reboard.

Of course, I may just be saying this because there are no more lifeboats left. If you all want to make a new board, then I will bow to the groups decision. Just retrieve my frozen lifeless body and clone me so I can join you.

Captains, even those promoted just in time to get left holding the bag, go down with the ship!

Salutes fore, and salutes aft! Blub blub blub...

This game started with good intentions - the best of intentions, one might say. But too many things got in the way.

I just don't see this game as being all too salvageable as it is now. People quitting at the drop of a hat, an overly large scale set up, multiple characters being managed by few players and no true plot or direction.

In some ways, multiple characters are fun. In others, it causes a game to lose focus and become thin and stretched. I think the latter happened here, unfortunately. As more people left, there became fewer players to play the characters. We've got what? Fifteen, almost twenty characters here being played, and how many more in limbo?

This is a fun concept, but I think it may be time to try a new idea out, one with a smaller focus and a more tightly controlled storyline.

Tight story lines are nice, but if you have more then character, you don't want them all in the same storyline. And screw Jean Grey if she gets all pissy and leaves at the drop of a hat for seemingly no reason, perhaps some slight that hurt her feelings, we don't need her.
