Basic Physical Description: Tall and very thin, Quicksilver is tougher than he looks. He is very pale, with shockingly bright blue eyes and pale silver blonde hair. He has essentially no body fat, and is covered in long, lean muscle. He is attractive, but not conventionally so.
Personality: To say the very least, Pietro is arrogant. The exact origin of this is unknown, as he was raised by a fairly poor gypsy family. Pietro is standoffish and argumentative, afraid of no fight whatsoever. He is cocky about his powers and believes himself nigh invincible.
Quicksilver is also very manipulative and calculating. His mind runs very quickly, making it very difficult for others to keep up. He purposefully speaks very slowly to everyone around him, but still speaks so quickly that many have difficulty understanding him. He is sharp and cold in his speaking mannerisms.
This is not to say that Pietro is incapable of kindness or love. If he does develop a basic respect, he can turn that into genuine affection. Pietro cares about few people, but once he does care about someone, he is fiercely protective.
Mutant Powers: Quicksilver possesses superhuman speed, and can travel on foot at speed exceeding the speed of sound for hundreds of miles before tiring; he can "fly" for short distances by flapping his arms or "vibrating" his legs; he can also use his speed to create cyclones, dodge machine gun and laser fire, and run up walls and across water.
Other Abilities/ talents: Proficient in martial arts, Pietro is a dangerous hand to hand fighter. He also speaks Roma, the language of the gypsies.
Basic History: Pietro is unaware of his earliest history as a mutant. He does not know the identity of his biological father and mother. His mother, he was told, died not long after his birth. At the time of her death, Pietro and his twin sister had taken refuge from her husband, the identity of whom is a mystery. The father did not know that his wife was pregnant when she left him, nor did he ever discover her whereabouts or the details of her demise.
After his mother's death, Pietro and his twin sister, Wanda, were raised by Django and Marya Maximoff, a gypsy couple. As adolescents, Pietro and his sister Wanda discovered that they had peculiar talents. When Django began to steal food to feed his starving family, enraged villagers attacked the gypsy camp. Using his phenomenal speed, Pietro fled from the camp with his sister. The next few years, Wanda and Pietro wandered central Europe, living off the land. One day, Wanda accidentally caused a house to burst into flames with her uncontrollable hex powers, and the pair was chased by superstitious townspeople. Despite Pietro's attempt to defend her, the twins were soon overpowered.
Before any harm could come to the twins, they were rescued by Magneto. Unwilling but believing they owed him a debt, the twins became the first members of Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants. They called themselves Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch.
Their activities over the last few years are laden with mystery and many gaps exist in their whereabouts. Wanda has been missing for several months, and only the Brotherhood themselves know of her whereabouts. Quicksilver is living and training at Magneto's hidden base of operations with the other Brotherhood members.
