It is with a start that Yeesha finds herself in a place familiar to her. It is the great library of the D’ni, a place of ancient wisdom and knowledge, and almost forgotten opportunity. In front of her is a woman who at first appears to be her mirror image, but it quickly becomes apparent from her haughty demeanour that she is something, or someone… else. She speaks in the ancient tongue of the D’ni.
“Welcome to your Becoming, Yeesha. This process is an opportunity for cleansing, renewal, and greatness. This is a time to come into yourself, and to excise all the useless pieces of sentimentality that limit your true self.” |
