Catch your shad with any prefered legal meens. I used to seine them or use a cast net. Fill a glass jar of any size 3/4 full of shad and leave outside in direct sunlight until ready(this may take weeks). You will see the bones and such all seperate and lay down to the bottom of the jar. Just pour out the oil sitting on top into a different container to use for stink bait or dip bait. The oil can be used for trapping also, or used to mix with any bait you are creating.

Oh.... Do NOT get any oil on your hands trust me. wacko
