So far its cost me like $80 bucks. Lots cheaper than I had thought. All I need are the fliter items but I have most of that on hand. I expect total cost of around $150. ![]() ![]() ![]() -------------------- ![]() Where ever you go there you are! "Buckaroo Bonzai" Patience is a Virtue, I have no Virtues |

LOL no there not inside the gutters , thats just me setting them so I could get a good idea what to do with them. I have it finished now and it holds 70 betta, two rows of 28 beanies per level for 56 and one half row of beanies holding 14.. here is a picture of it in operation.

No actually there only 30" each. making 5' footers , makes easy work to cut a gutter in half so you get two rows with one gutter, cost for the gutters is like $5.00 This was so cheap im making another one soon as I get my taxes back and it will be even bigger.. Makes life so much easier to manage. -------------------- ![]() Where ever you go there you are! "Buckaroo Bonzai" Patience is a Virtue, I have no Virtues |

Thats real easy,
Parts needed: 1. Filter Floss 2. 22 gallon sterilite container 3. 2 gallon sterilite container (larger is ok too) 4 100 bio balls (I used 1' but 3/4 proby is better. 5. 1lb aquarium charcoal 1. take the 22 gallon and cut a square hole in the lid the correct size to fit the 2gallon about and inch or two inside. Save this piece. 2. Drill holes in the bottom of the 2gallon , I used 1/8" but 3/16 or even a quarter in. will do . Drill lots of holes. Then clean the rough edges of the holes. 3. Put your bio balls inside. 4. Take the piece you saved and cut to fit nicely over the bio balls. Then drill holes in it also same as the bottom of the 2 gallon. lots of holes. This is the drip disperser. when it sits nice and even cover with a layer of filter floss. 5. Now add about a cup of charcoal evenly on the floss, not to close to the edges or it will spill over into the next level. And cover with another layer of floss. 6. Hunt around for a piece of plastic that you can put in there that will make another drip disperser. (I bought another 2 gallon and cut the lid out for mine.) Drill it with holes again, Put on top of the filter floss. Align everything in place so your return line is over the tank cut a hole in the lid and your done. See Picture again. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b37/bett.../sumpfilter.jpg -------------------- ![]() Where ever you go there you are! "Buckaroo Bonzai" Patience is a Virtue, I have no Virtues |
