Hello Gordon & Wendy, Steve & Dawn here wink.gif

For our third holiday to Finikounda last month we stayed at the Dimitra apartments, the one with the spiral staircase up to the roof patio. The bruises on my head have all gone now! tongue.gif Worth a little discomfort for the fabulous view of the harbour and village.

Now we're thinking about booking accomodation for a week's break in October but we're not sure what to expect so late in the year. Presumably it will be very quiet with many shops and tavernas closed? Will the Finissia Hotel be open?

Your comments and advice would be most welcome.

Thanks

Welcome, Fridgeraider. Thanks for joining in.
To answer your question, yes, Finikounda will be quiet in October. It is also a great time to visit. September and October generally are quiet but the shops and tavernas are still open. The weather can be fantastic, too although of course not guaranteed, but temperatures in the high 20s to low 30s are the norm with sunny days and WARM SEAS!!! Finikounda is a year round village, not just a holiday resort so shops and tavernas (maybe not all) are available year round. The Finissia Hotel will close mid-October as far as we know. There is always accommodation available though so you need never worry.
And HEY! we will be here so there will be someone to talk to.
Wendy has informed me that she will send you a lot more info by private message later so please check in again.

Once again, thanks for joining in. Glad the head is healed!

NOW we can put a face to the name!
Good to see you. Did you count the steps (and duck the head) every time you went up and down those stairs?

If you get the flights we can get the accommodation for you no problem. Just let us know when and where you would prefer.
