Quote Tom: (roughly) "Why is it that this year, you're actually doing stuff, whereas last year, you were doing nothing but still writing about it?"
Ok then... *takes breath* I think I might do this a little differently than the endless prose I wrote last year. So this time, I'll be playing a different game each time to explain what I've been up to. The first game will be 'I never', which I hope everyone kinda understands the rules to. Oh, and I would be drinking after all of the following.
So, before uni, I had never:
-Met anyone with such a broad Bristolian or Welsh accent (guys on my corridor, top blokes)
-Had a pub crawl of Reading (the pubs are nice, there's a 'Spoons, but the clubs aren't great)
-Started a conversation with 'So, have you ever seen an elephant in the wild?' (Icebreaking don't you know)
-Joined a squash club
-Dressed up in such ridiculous ways (although the white supremacist came close; every night of Freshers pretty much)
-Gone to an Indie club and enjoyed it
-Been to a free Sophie Ellis Bexter concert (technically not free, but there were so few people there the security let us in anyway... she looks like she could do with a good meal and a suntan...

)
Basically having a great time, catered is actually a lot better than I thought it would be, although the set mealtimes are annoying, especially since they're only nominally half an hour. Also having just the one shower but two baths between 12 guys isn't exactly the best planning...
And yes, someone did die, that's all I know at the mo, but no doubt it'll get into the press soon enough.
