Ok we need a checklist for the completion of Pt. 1
These are the Must Have Show Stoppers standing in the way of us getting this out the door.
One thing I don’t think we’ve really considered is that Pt. 2 can add stuff in to the Pt. 1 storyline such as side quests. So the "filler" missions aren't really nessary.
Feel free to add suggest stuff to be added to the list. I'll make this a sticky (not that its really nessary on this board) just so its easy(er) to find.
Stuff highlighted in Red are primary objectives- the stuff we can't release the TC with out. The stuff in Blue are things we could release it with out but would make for a far less polished game. Stuff in Green are completed.
Storyline: Edit Main Plotline for improvement
Remove references to “Landing Skids” and make sure flight characteristics of the shuttle are consistent with new draft of performance specs found in the game bible, IE no VTOLs.

Add permits for weapons.

Rework balance of ships in the galaxy to be more different in various regions.
Planet descs still needed for a few worlds----Angel, Lian Juinn, etc.
Make sure we've got every planet mentioned in the Visual Companion....we're close, now.
Finish adding music to all planets
Recheck all planet descs for blandness, and add details if necessary.

Descriptions are needed for Angel, Harvest, Highgate, Liann Jiun, Salisbury, Deadwood, Aberdeen, Whittier, Three Hills, Kerry, and Muir. So far only the first four of these are actually present in the mod, though; the rest we'll fit in when the galaxy reorg is done.
The only one that fits into any story so far is Angel, which is described as a border world big enough to have an actual spaceport, but not much more than that. Particularly, when things go wrong there's no infrastructure in place to put them right terribly fast, and they rely on imports for their more exotic medical needs.

The storyline for part 1 will hit its climax in the next desc or two. Then there will just be denouement (maybe 1 or 2 descs).
Still looking to add a few more side stories, both in isolation and to give hints about Part 2. And of course, there will be editing to do everywhere before we declare the Part 1 main story "done".

I've still got several models sitting around which I have to render and add. I'll try to do that in the next few days.

At this point I've got enough side stories in the pipeline, I think. Not that a few more wouldn't be good, but we should focus on polishing other aspects before focusing too heavily on more of those. Missing planet descs, models I haven't yet gotten rendered, maybe see if we can get some Core World cityscapes to replace the current landscapes.....any other polishes that need to be done....that sort of thing.

I have an intresting idea for the design Mili Joyce in my head. I'll try and slap together a model ASAP.

I'll add to the list: Any outfit required by a mission that we don't have must be added. For instance, spare parts. Ideally such things would include mechanisms to dynamically break down the ship over time, but that can be left out if it proves too difficult.

Yeah, sorry....I've just been in an other-than-Nova state of mind lately. Plus the term project isn't helping. I'll see what I can do this week about updating things.
