Another good thing you may have noticed in the link above is that Speed Racer is going to be shown on the same day!
Speed Racer is where the famous korean singer turned actor Bi/Rain along with G.O.D's great rapper Park Joon Hyung recently turned actor took part in!!

Woah~
We went to Speed Racer this Monday!!
I've never thought it would be this fun!!
At first, I was like "What the? The whole movie is soo carttonish!!"
But later on, it was really fun, and funny to watch!!
Especially that Notnja (Ninja) scene!! It was SO~~~ HILARIOUS!!

About the 2 Koreans acting!!

Bi/Rain: I was surprised! First I thought he had a very~ small part in the movie, just like I read in some forums! It was actually a very important part!! Without his part, the movie wouldn't be completed!! His acting was OK!! I didn't see much, though, except for the "Wow~!" & "Woho~!" shouts
His engrish was funny, since it wasn't that English, it was more like Ko-nglish, or Engrish!! Saying some words like "Fictory" for "Victory" was fun to hear!! But I think it's OK, since his part was to be a Japanese

Park Joon Hyung (of G.O.D): Too bad, his part was not small, but TINY!! You can only see him in that famous short scene when he's shaving, then another short two when he wears his helmet, and then when he's on his race car!!
But really, I think if Park Joon Hyung was acting instead of Bi, it would have been better!! He's got the language, and body!! He's so HUGE compared to Bi!!

Hi Mannan, off-topic, sorry I wasn't around here much.
So yes we saw Speed Racer the movie last Monday. Hopefully, this Monday we'll go to The Host in sha Allah.

Before I tell you if I liked it or not, hear this...with a spoiler contain, it's my mini-review. Mainly what I though/felt toward some characters. For those who haven't seen the movie yet, if you don't mind spoilers... read it.

Ok..

Rain had an approximate number of 10 lines. Disappointed yet! Though, I just adore the guy and not his biggest fan, I was disappointed. His somewhat broken English was cute and his character was good too. Rain is just same old rain. His role was good, but I wished that he would've had more time on screen. I'm definitely going to watch his next movie "Ninja Assassins". Speaking of Ninjas, they had a funny role in this movie too. Haha~! No-inja~! That part was just hilarious. The Ninja was assassins too. What a coincident. Kekekeke…

I was actually more excited and was looking forward to see Park Jun Hyung in the movie. But that too was a major disappointment. He had three two-second shoots only. Yes two seconds, though he was very cool. The first is this famous shaving picture. The second was a glimpse of him pausing for pictures on top of his racing car. The last was of his face/car burning. Oh wait it exploded... I was jumping and making noises out of excitement that the guy appeared 6 seconds ago. The last scene I didn't notice that he died, but my sister told me his car got exploded.

And oh my god, Hiroyuki Sanada-san, his lines were so short. I didn't know exactly when he started talking and when he finished. And mostly he was nodding left and right. I was about to burst in tears and scream my lungs out. Why did he take such a role? I am disappointed and you should too if you have seen his previous movies. Other than his cool look, and seeing his face, the whole role of his was just not it. Not my samurai idol Hiroyuki-san.

The last thing in my list of disappointments: The main actor, what's his name (sorry), Speed Racer his character's name; he was the dumbest of them all. What a great choice Mr. Casting Director. The guy wasn't convincing at all. I didn't really like the way he acted his role. To the original Speed Racer in the anime serious, I apologize. >_<;;

Now, the only thing that is worth watching is Racer X (Rex), oh and the cute fat kid.

Racer X (Matthew Fox/ Dr, Jack on LOST) he was the greatest, a very convincing actor unlike some. I liked his role and wished that they would just forget about Speed and focus on Racer X instead. (alias name that he gave to himself to cover that he is actually Rex. Ok that was old news to the rest of us who saw the anime).

As for fat little kid, I want to think that I bought my ticket just because of him. He is so cute and funny. He reminds me of a chubby version of Shia LaBeouf (The Transformers).

The rest of the cast … ok does this explain my feelings enough. I won't bother.

Over all, the bright colors and flashback, flash-forward, gave me a headache. They were just too much. About the movie, just wait till it's out on DVD or just rent it and don't bother to add it to your collection, unless… you are a fan of Rain, Park Jun Hyung, and/or Hiroyuki Sanada-san (so you know I might get me a DVD copy). Or you are a poor fan to the others (_ _;;) sorry.

I, for one, am not considering to watch it again with serious thoughts. It's just a movie to see for fun only and I did my time. I had fun watching it.

EDIT: Just forgot to say, there are lots of moments that you'll find yourself laughing so hard. And if you are a sharp observer, you'll definitely discover more funny things in the background or within the scene. So you'll laugh for sure.

I know... my mini-review is confusing. It gives mixed feelings. It's just because this is the situation I'm in. I don't know if I hate it or I like it. But, I did watch it.
