Wind clan warriors, welcome to your camp! This is our safe place where we all gather to sleep, eat, share tongues, and socialize. Warriors all sleep in a den together in that brush over to the right, with the thorn cover to keep us safe from badgers. Elders get the den to the left where the grass is soft and there's plenty of moss for sleeping. Right next to the elders den is the apprentice's den. So they can be there by the elders to get them moss and water. Opposite of our entrance, that long brier tunnel you came in through is my den, Wolfstar your leader. There's a mossy rock that some badger made a den out of years before we took this as our camp. Next to my den is our Medicine cat's home. She has a nice flat space with soft grass and an evergreen shrub that makes a perfect den and storage area for herbs. Well, walk around get used to everything and make yourself at home. I'll be calling a meeting soon.

(Ok Windclan needs some roleplay now!)
Leopardclaw's pelt bristled with furry as she padding into the Windclan camp. Her lip curled in a snarl and she continualy paced the camp furry aminati9ng from her as if a battle had just been fought. "How dare that little silver peace of fox dung!" she snarled loudly. She was refuering to the Riverclan leader Silverstar who had demanded rights to Sunning rocks from Thunderclan at the gatherings. Leopardclaw was no fool but she was easly irriated. "How could she be so mouse brained! The greedy little theif! She'll be after Windclans terriory in to shakes of a tail!" Leoparclaw continualy paced the camp floor.

(Windclan has an active rp, it's just in the Training Hallow, you might want to go check that out. Wolfstar, Hellpaw, and Windpaw are all there.)

Rainpelt bursts into the camp, panting slightly now that her adrenaline rush has ended, leaving her head throbbing. "Hawkfire...!!" She gasps loudly. "It's...it's Leopardclaw...! Silverheart's..." The brown mottled she-cat has to take another deep breath before being able to continue without cracking her voice. "The deputy is dead...!" Cat start to gather around the she-cat, muttering worriedly to one another. "And...Leopardclaw is bleeding out into the moor...we need you now...!" A few of the aprentices, Hellpaw mainly have fear on their faces. Leopard was Hellpaw's mentor...how could he become a warrior without him? Rainpelt flicks her tail quick towards the entrance. "Come on! Quickly now Hawkfire!" Her breath is returning to her. "There's not time we have to waste."

Hawkfire quikly gathered cobwebs and marigold. She had to go and help Leapardclaw as soon as possible. Windclan couldn't afford losing anymore cats. She ran out of the camp and into the moor.

Hellpaw paces anxiously around the camp as he waits for his mentor and the rest of the patrol that went to fight the badger to return. His eyes darting to the entrance at the sound of any noise, even if it had not come from that way. The breeze ruffling some grass, a fellow clanmate, or a rabbit rustling around in the distance. Even if his eyes were always active they have a rather vacant look to them. The troubling news having sunk in fast with him...the deputy was dead and his mentor wasn't far from that at all from the way Rainpelt as rushed into the camp.

Wolfstar's relief flooded her face when Hawkfire arrived. //She'll make things better.// Wolfstar noticed how Leopardclaw was almost silent while Hawkfire dressed his wounds but she knew him well and new it wasn't because he felt no pain but because he thought her would be concidered weak if he showed it. //Oh Leopardclaw, you still have so much to learn.// She was relieved however when he allowed himself to lean on her as they walked. She knew how hard and painful the journey must be for him and she was glad she could suport him. He straightened when they reached the camp and Wolfstar pulled ahead to enter the camp first. They were going to be pelted with questions as they entered and as leader she needed to be the one to address the clan.

Leopardclaw still had a sober smile on his face. He was panting alittle at this point but stopped at they entered camp. He flicked his ears nervously, how could he face his clan beaten by and stupid badger? Shaking off the stress he padded in behind Falconstar tapping his tail on Hawkfire's shoulder as he passed her, thanking her for all her help. He held his head high as he padded into camp(but not as high as Wolfstar's), walking as if it caused him no pain. He padded to the middle of camp and sat at Wolfstar's side. He looked around camp and saw his apprentice Hellpaw and waved his tail at him smiling, a sign that he was proud of the apprentice for following orders even though it causes him greif. Also as reasurance that he was fine.

Wolfstar saw the whole clan looking towards her and Leopardclaw. They could see Leopardclaw's wounds and noticed that one of their clan mates had not returned. The murmuring started and Wolfstar wanted to address her clan now before rumors could get started. "Let all cat's old enough to catch their own prey meet here beneath my den." With those words Wolfstar walked over to her den. A mossy rock with a tunneled out area underneath it. Wolfstar finds it somewhat ironic that it's a badger's old den that she lives in, especially now. She easily climbs on top of the mossy rock and looks out over her clan as they gather. Their wide eyes lead her to believe not many knew there was even a fight going on. Wolfstar took a deep breath and started. "Cat's of Windclan, this morning while on a hunting patrol Windpaw scented a badger. A party was quickly formed to attack and send the badger away but during the attack one member of our clan was badly injured and one member died. Both warriors fought more bravely then a queen protecting her kits. Which, in a sense, was what these two warriors were doing. They were protecting you; Their friends, their family, their clan. Leopardclaw not only fought valiantly but kept the mental will and strength to walk back to camp of his own accord despite bad wounds." Wolfstar dipped her head to Leopardclaw. "Thank you Leopardclaw, for protecting us so heroically." Wolfstar paused and looked at the gathered cats, sorrow filling her eyes. "But now, for the brave warrior that did not return. Silverheart, our deputy, died leading the badger off the cliff where our boarder meets Riverclan. He could have brought the badger back to us to fight it more. But he knew that would get more warriors hurt or killed. Silverheart died saving his clan, and he shall be honored as a hero, and grieved for the devoted, selfless, wonderful warrior he was. Starclan is so lucky to have him with them now, may he walk with us all in our dreams." She looked up at the still sunlit sky for a moment as if she could see Silverheart up there already. "As for the vigil for his death tonight, starclan gave me this token to pay our respects to since his body was inaccessible." Wolfstar picked up the silver leaf she had been carrying since his death and jumped down from her rock to lay it in the middle of camp where every cat could come and say their goodbyes to Silverheart. Then she said. "Starclan requires me to chose a new deputy before the sun sets. We shall all meet back here when the sun is a paw's size from the hills to the right." And with those words the meeting was over. She must now retreat her cave and ask starclan for their advise.

((It's before moonhigh that she needs to pick a new deputy. Not sunset.))
Hellpaw looks worryingly to his badly wounded mentor, giving him a forced smile. He knew that the medicine cats would want to treat him now and he would only be sent away if he tried to talk with Leopardclaw. Instead the russet apprentice goes and sits beside the silver heart-shaped leaf. Dipping his nose to its crackly texture; his eyes close as he remembers the fallen deputy. "Good-bye Silverheart." He breathes softly. "We will never forget you." After lingering only a moment longer he stretches back up to his paws and backs out from the crowd of cats by the leaf. To give other cats, cats that were closer to the deputy, a chance to mourn his death.

Leopardclaw's pelt was hot ((lol cat blush!)) as his leader spoke so highly of him. He rose his head though and eknowledged her praise with a full heart. He smiled at her feeling as if he glowed, but he licked his shoulder to supress his embarresment. His smile faded and his eyes widened in shock, Leopardclaw had not been told that, he had seen the leaf that Wolfstar carried with a heave heart. Leopardclaw's wounds suddenly started to hurt the stress of the dead clanmate causing his wounds...and heart much pain. Leopardclaw had always been alittle envouse of Silverheart for being the Windclan deputy and not himself, but there was never a time that he wishes that the warrior would die! The world spun around him and he felt alittle dizzy. Leopardclaw padded up to the leaf and scowled...this was no way that a warrior, and warrior of Silverhearts bravery!, should be remembered and morned. Leopardclaw had never really agreeded with Silverheart, in fact they argued most of the time. While the golden warrior would preffer to battle and defend his clan, the silver deputy always insited peace as Wolfstar had. Still, not once did Leopardclaw predict that the deputy would die, and he never wished it not matter how great his ambition to become deputy was. Leopardclaw growled and clawed the ground, his face and body trembling, his tail lashed wish anger and saddness. "This shouldn't have happened..." he whispered. His mind went back to the fight, he had pulled ever cat off the angry animal besides Silverheart, Leopardclaw blacked out before the battle was finished and woke to aan empty clearing. He clawed the ground again, guilt stabbing him as the badger claw did. "I should have done something!" The long legged warrior counldn't take it anymore and stormed out of the clearing, agony pinning his heart down to his chest. He dashed away from the clearing without speaking to any cat.

Windpaw rushed out from the apprentice's den and smiled up at her mentor. "Your back!" she mewed. She started to purr loudly, "Did you get the badger? Is he dead? Where's Silverheart?" she asked. ((As you noticed, Windpaw wasn't at the meeting XD)) Windpaw's wide eyes scanned the area. "Tell me everything Wolfstar!" she mewed excitingly.

((Sorry moonhigh, that's right. Knew it was something like that.))
As Wolfstar started toward her den she heard Windpaw rush up to her and start talking excitedly. It was almost as if her voice was comming form another world. She was so tired and the ache in her heart was about to overwhelm her. She needed to get to her den to rest and decide her next deputy. But she couldn't slight her young apprentice either. She looked down at Windpaw and attempted a smile. "I'm sorry you missed the anouncment, Windpaw. Your sense of smell really saved the day. The badger is gone, but so is Silverheart. Why don't you go over and talk to Hellpaw about it. I need to get to my den to talk with starclan about choosing another deputy." She gave the apprentice a friendly flick of her tail and padded off to her den. She got inside layed down and before she knew it she was asleep.

Windpaw's smile faded into grief. //No wonder he didn't come back...// she thought. She looked around for Hellpaw and walked over to him, "Is it true?" she mewed. "Silverheart is dead?" she asked. The new deputy would be named before moonrise, but Silverheart could not be sent to StarClan traditionally without a burial. "Where did he die? And how come his body isn't in the camp? We need to have a burial ceromony." she mewed quietly. Her ice blue eyes flickered upward at Leopardclaw. "He's going to be the new deputy, since he fought so bravely." she continued. //But why would they just watch Silverheart die?//
