I feel a bit silly posting this - but has anyone on a Christian Board made you upset or brought you to tears?????

Well tonight it has happened to me....first time. ::02::

huggyem Hey it happens because although we are Christians we are still humans and NOT perfect by any means ...soooo that means that if someone has upset you you should tell them in as pleaseant a way as possible WHY you are upset ( they may not even realise they have upset you especially as it is VERY hard to " read " posts correctly without all the voice / body language not to mention that as we are an international group on all of these sites and different cultures may speak [ almost ] the same language but it doesnt always mean the same thing ) .......

You may find that they had no idea that they were upseting you and would then ( I hope ) apologise and maybe even find some common ground with you or at the very least agree to differ in a kind and friendly way huggyem huggyem huggyem huggyem huggyem huggyem huggyem

Yes I have, the very first person on a message board to bring me to tears was Shiloh! &6& Now I love him dearly, admire him greatly and go to him when I have questions! You never can tell like Pear said, how someone is hearing in their own head what they are saying to you.
Now however............if you find they were being mean to you, you let Auntie Scarlet and Auntie Pear know who it was, we'll take care of it! fypan

I have a shield of steel when it comes to personal insults but when someone attacks my loyalty to God/Bible, that hits hard...

Sometimes words on the screen come across as being far more harsh than if you could actually hear and see the person talking to you. Even my own posts often don't carry off the tone that I try to convey. :huh:

There have been times when I've seen posters be downright rude and mean on Christian boards, but its not the norm.

You could do the Biblical thing and tell them they've offended you. If that doesn't work "take 1 or 2 moderators with you" and report the offense.

Generally though, let it roll off your back. There's too much room for misunderstanding in this kind of communication. And if someone really is just being un-Christian, that's their issue, it doesn't reflect on you.

I have had that happen to me ... and like everyone has said .. some don't know how they are coming across. That being said .. I do think some of them don't care if they hurt your feelings and are just mean. .. . sorry guys :(
