The trouble is it is not
HIS money, or the
EU's money.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8334266.stmEuropean Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso has said European leaders have agreed how much money it might take to help developing countries fight global warming.
He said the EU was ready to pay its "fair share" of the 100bn euros ($148bn) a year that would be needed.

I still have trouble at times believing how public policy has been hijacked over the so-called "climate change" scam. Now they want to pay the "developing countries" too? Bet all the little tin-pot dictators just love that idea!
Now here's what makes me want to "go on safari" as it were: They're trying real hard to bring neat socialist ideas like crap-n-trade to the U.S. The day these idiots are ready to spend an entire summer in Phoenix, AZ without a/c of any kind is the day I'll believe in climate change. Until then they will have to pry my air conditioner out of my cold, dead fingers -- and my gun out of the other hand!

I'm praying really hard that America will have the courage to say an absolute resounding "no!" to "crap and tirade" (otherwise known as cap 'n' trade). NZ has, unfortunately capitulated this this crazy idea (on Wednesday) and it seems that most other countries have too.
I still think it will all come to naught. It will create a lot of problems for a lot of people for a while, but common sense will win out in the end.
It is truly a "lose/lose" situation. I just don't know why politicians and bureaucrats (the only one who want this idiocy and the only ones who will not have to pay for it) cannot see that.
As for spending an entire summer in Az without airconditioning. That really has nothing at all to do with "climate change" and there is no way that Arizona doing without airconditioning would help anyone, anywhere, at all.
It seems that it IS true. The planet is warming, but then so are the other planets in the solar system. It is CYCLIC and most decidedly not anthropogenic. It is breathtakingly arrogant of man to think that his actions can alter the climate.
God is the only one in control, always has been, always will be.

Part of what I was referring to, Bucks, is the fact that the proponents of the scam don't want to "walk the walk." If they really believed climate change was such a problem, they wouldn't be living in huge houses & jet-setting around the planet preaching their religion -- they would be willing to give up some things in the their lifestyle.
An entire Arizona summer with no a/c would not be pleasant, but people survived them before there was a/c. They want me to believe in their scam? Fine, they will have to do something to prove to me that they are willing to "live the life."
The pollies don't care one way or the other about climate change, I think. There is something they do care about though: the billions they can rake in on crap-n-trade. They want our money and the power to tell us "little people" how to live. I know a nice, hot place they can go to -- and I can give 'em real precise directions on how to get there!
