Just got back from seeing this...

If you want to see something different, with an original plot line...this is not the film for you. Essentially a mash up of many different films/books/characters (think elements of The Shining, Dreamcatcher, I Am Legend...etc...this has been done numerous times), this is hardly an original concept...people getting horrendously sick and then, surprise surprise, it was a military screw up....the fight for survival is on...

That said, I did find it entertaining...very suspenseful, some pretty good acting (Timothy Olyphant - whose name I love! - and Joe Anderson were very cool in it) and some very amusing bits...I haven't seen the original though, so can't compare.

No sex/nude scenes or drug use...some swearing scattered throughout, though not nearly as much as a lot of films these days... it was pretty gory though so if you're squeamish, probably best to avoid this one...though the genre probably gave that away :D

I don't think I saw "Dreamcatcher," but I did like "The Shining" and "I Am Legend" was ok. I have never heard of this movie, but from what you said, it might be worth checking out?

Yeah, I did enjoy it, it was entertaining...just don't expect anything particularly different to movies you would have seen before!

(And I wouldn't bother seeing Dreamcatcher if I were you...I thought I didn't like it because I read the book shortly before I saw it and the film fell so completely short of the book - in true Stephen King adaption style - but I know people who haven't read the book that thought it was terrible too!)
