These are verses that we should all remember. When do you "give up" I don't know, I guess thats a decision each of us have to make according to how the Spirit leads us.
I had given up on certain family members years ago, however, even though I had given up in actively trying to "teach" them, I didn't give up on them, if that makes any sense. I am seeing some promising signs in those people now. But, I gave up and just let what the Spirit lead me to say happen. So once again, who actually sowed and watered...............it wasn't me! And what is the cut of point for those who (we feel anyway) are believing another gospel??? Because I feel the verse above is speaking of those also. The believe also tells us: 1 Corinthians 5:5 (5) hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord. |
