I was just wondering if anyone watches "American Idol," and if so, what you think about the new judges and this year's talent? I don't get to see the show on a regular basis, but I did see it this week. Simon's departure has definately effected the show, as we lost his sarcastic whit and frank criticism. At the same time, the show still seems to be ok, and the judges are doing a nice job.

I also think the talent has been much better this year as opposed to last year. There are none in the current crop of 13 that you look at and think they have no business there, and hope to see them gone. At least, that is my observations from what I saw this week. Does anyone else watch the show? If so, what are your thoughts?

I do watch the show but miss it alot. It is defiantly better than last years judges with Ellen being an open practicing homosexual was not a good example as a judge. I think there have been talent on all of the shows but sometimes they get bumped out when you wouldn't think so. But I must say it is interesting to watch and see who the winner will turn out to be.

I agree with you about Ellen. I didn't like her as a judge, and didn't believe she was qualified to be one. I did like the the other two judges that left. Even so, the new judges have done a good job, and I like having 3 rather than 4 judges. One thing I have noticed is that they seem much more positive without Simon. In some cases, that may be good, but his honest criticism was usually spot on.
