Channel Bot

Baalbot(HF) is a bot for announcing your games (in channel) and recording your stats. So please no messages about how to get it to do your baal runs or announce ng in game because it's not that type of program.

Anyone who has access to the channel has access to the bot. To use the bot you need to first read the rules posted here on the forum. They were originally for our baal runner contests but they still apply to general use. These rules ensure the bot doesn't get abused.
Bot Rules Post

The account name for our bot is Baalbot(HF). The name implies it only does baal runs however it works for both baal and chaos runs. The bot also works for any game difficulty and private games. However if you make private runs the bot cannot announce the pass.
Note* If we are running a contest all games must be done in public/hell difficulty games for them to count towards your stats.

To use the bot set it up and log in and the bot will automatically take care of the rest.

The commands are:
.login - Logs you into the bot so it will record your runs.
.logout - Do this when you finish running or if you are taking an extended break.
.myinfo - Displays the number of runs you have done.
.runs - Displays the current runs being provided by the users of the bot.
.top - Displays the top 5 runners.

This is not a post on the rules to using the bot (the link for the rules can be found in the post above). This is a post to clarify HOW to use the bot.

1) Add the account baalbot(hf) to the flist of the account your using to run with.

2) When your ready to start runs join Op Hfclan and type in the channel .login
The bot does not recognize commands whispered to it.

3) Make a game with either the word chaos or baal in it. If you don't create a game with either of those words in it the bot will not recognize you in a valid run game....it will log you out and it will NOT record or announce games made without one of those words in it.

4) Besides logging out on your own the bot will automatically log you out if you:
- Exit Bnet (either on purpose or by getting dropped).
- Join a game that doesn't have the word chaos or baal in it.
In those cases you will have to log in again for your runs to continue being announced and stats recorded.
