:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o ITS ON NOW!

Edit:Just to explain to ya'll who Drake is dissing since he ain't say no names or nothin heres his verse broken down.

"It bothers me when the Gods get to acting like the broads,
Guess every team doesn’t come complete with niggas like ours
Thats why I see no need to compete with niggas like y’all
I just ask them when you see me you speak up nigga thats all"

Acknowledges:Luda, Common, Pusha & Fab as his sceniors, and references their subliminal shots.

"Don’t be ducking like you never wanted nothing
Its feeling like rap changed, there was a time it was rugged
Back when if a nigga reached it was for the weapon
Nowadays niggas reach just to sell they record"

References Common who dropped an album recently, also possibly references Future, Pusha & Fab who all have projects in the works

"Shawty wanna tell me secrets ’bout a rap nigga
I tell a bitch its more attractive when you hold it down
Bag her like we in Publix and take her ass out in public
Ordered it a filet tell her butterfly she’ll love it
She used to soda and nuggets she really just out here thuggin"

Taunting Common by referencing hookin up with his ex

"Im just hittin my pinnacle you and pussy identical
You like the f-ckin finish line we can’t wait to run into you"

Challenging Common

Rick Dickulos - January 9, 2012 08:39 PM (GMT)
ohhhhhhhhhhhweeeeeeeeeee thats what I wanted  cant wait to hear what drake has to say

its gonna be like the jokes we were making in the other thread: "I think he was talking about Nathan Drake from uncharted"

Daiz - January 9, 2012 09:00 PM (GMT)
 I just don't understand why Drake put all that effort into a verse without saying names, theres all kinds of ways he could've belittled Common, just by using name puns alone, Drake basically made one of those angry facebook post where you know who hes talking about but doesn't want anyone in his business

Nave - January 9, 2012 09:45 PM (GMT)
fuck im at school so i cant hear this yet. haha

Daiz - January 9, 2012 09:56 PM (GMT)
His verse does bring up a good point tho, why the fuck is Drake rapping about another nigga's wife? thats so disrespectful :smh:

Sweet hoe ass nigga

Skorp - January 10, 2012 12:52 AM (GMT)
 Damn, see Common does it personal that's how it should be forget the subliminal shit.

Daiz - January 10, 2012 12:55 AM (GMT)
honestly Common wouldn't have dissed him if he ain't do any sublimes

Skorp - January 10, 2012 03:52 AM (GMT)
so this started way before Common's "Sweet" track?

Daiz - January 10, 2012 04:40 AM (GMT)
naw, Common made "Sweet" about the rap game in general and Drake being the sensitive ass nigga he is caught feelins and called common out on stage, and Common basically said "if the shoe fits then yeah it was about you" then Drake being the bitch ass nigga he is hopped on this Ross joint subliminally going at Common if he didn't do that he wouldn't have caught this verse from Common

Nave - January 10, 2012 07:56 AM (GMT)
at first i hated the Canada Dry line then i listened to the verse again and was like "damn, thats good". I'm a little disappointed in the song but largely because of the beat and annoyin chorus. i guess he wanted to show that he could do better on the same beat

Daiz - January 10, 2012 08:08 AM (GMT)
The verse is pretty simple rhyme pattern wise, but the words chosen are what makes it a good diss but you can tell he wasn't really trying, Drake ain't said anything all day so I expecting a decent retaliation soon, Drake has proven before hes capable of battling goon styled rappers (Aristo) but after he blew up he thinks he can win battles by subliminal slick talk, you can do that shit with Page but I don't think Common is just gonna sit back and let ya toss sublimes at him like that

Rick Dickulos - January 10, 2012 09:09 AM (GMT)
the canada dry line has more that just the initial dual meanings, it was also used to say Drake is "pop" (music)

Daiz - January 10, 2012 09:15 AM (GMT)
^Yeah on the surface its just "wet to Dry" but theres also the fact that Canada Dry is sweet

Rick Dickulos - January 10, 2012 09:17 AM (GMT)
all the hip hop heads are on commons side. Drake is a good rapper but this lame ego and hard talk he sponged up from these other commercial rap artists he has been around has really turned him into a douche. He said "you gon mess around and make me catch a body like that" then he says "might look light but we heavy though, think drake would pull some shit like that you never know"

.........did he COMPLETELY forget his ENTIRE life up until he was about 25????

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZmH_Os3KJI&feature=related

did he forget who he is completely?

Daiz - January 10, 2012 09:35 AM (GMT)
lets not forget the corny mob boss act with the Bill Cosby sweater

or the non intimidating goons

My kid sister is harder than Drake

Rick Dickulos - January 10, 2012 06:14 PM (GMT)
haha hell yeah man the headlines video and song is what started pissing me off also.

You got him saying "catch a body like that" while trying to sit at the table and pose as some old school Al Capone type real dude.

Then he is saying "no don't do it, cause one of us goes in and all the others go through it". Trying to say his goons will help him with his problems and he will help them with their problems. This is all while he has 50 dudes behind him trying to pose likes its an old Wu Tang video. :melo:

then he has the nerve to say:
"listening to you expressing all them feelings
Soap opera rappers, all these niggas sound like All My Children"
 .......................when he is the FIRST rapper you think of when talking about expressing feelings and making soap opera songs"....... :melo:

Rick Dickulos - January 10, 2012 06:35 PM (GMT)
someone said this on hip hop dx:

"Drake pussy ass somewhere taking a bubble bath with a vanilla candle lit thinking what to do...lol"

Daiz - January 10, 2012 09:42 PM (GMT)
LMAO @ the bubble bath shit, but yeah I don't understand how you talk all tough when you made an R&B album, like eriously he only rapped-rapped on like 5 songs the rest was moans and melodies, I thought he was gonna do an R&B mixtape and a rap album :smh:

What pissed me off is how he didn't stand on his own two when he responded he did a verse with Ross and Frenchie on Ross's mixtape KNOWING it would be the first song everyone would check for and on top of that they dropped a video for it hte same day where hes taking shots and hiding behind Frenchie and Ross, if he was a real nigga he would've had the last verse and been in front the whole time :smh:

he ain't even rub his hands pleihboi, he must be scared too....and what the fuck is he talking about "we don't diss niggas thats not us"
They stay taking shots at Jigga, Wayne dissed gillie like FOUR TIMES, Wayne dissed DJ Drama, 50, Pharrell, The Clipse he even Dissed Khaled who JUST got signed to Cash Money what the fuck is he talkin about

Rick Dickulos - January 10, 2012 11:21 PM (GMT)
they don"t diss????????? Drake said "I'm hittin my Pinacle" talking about serena (pinacle is a brand that makes tennis balls) :o Thats an OBVIOUS diss. <_<

These people are such pussies trying to write Common off like he is just dissing to get record sales............really? Common has been doing his thing for almost 2 decades and I never saw him diss a random person for record sales.

Daiz - January 10, 2012 11:59 PM (GMT)
and these dumb ass kids think Drake got more money than Common too, Common makes mills of off blockbuster movies and shit he don't have to sell another fuckin record again in his life not to mention the endorsement deals he got goin, Drake on the other his gettin all his money snatched up by Birdman, Wayne and Universal

Skorp - January 11, 2012 02:47 AM (GMT)
Birdman sounds dumb as fuck, diss tracks are for the people too.

Daiz - January 11, 2012 07:02 AM (GMT)
Exactly you gotta defend yourself these new niggas think they can say all kinds of fly shit with out battlin fuck wrong with these cats

Skorp - January 12, 2012 03:31 PM (GMT)
Making diss tracks will get him more fans or at least let the public know he's really not a bitch, or scared to show a lyrical/aggressive side . put the whole Its all about making money aside.

Skorp - January 13, 2012 02:58 PM (GMT)
Drake must feel that if responds to Common he's making him more famous. Dude needa hop off his high horse.

Skorp - January 13, 2012 03:16 PM (GMT)

"At the end of the day, I just expressed what I felt about hip-hop," Common said in an interview referring to his initial reason for dropping the "Sweet" record. "I ain't trying to do no battles in any other way besides emceeing. We know that things can get [extreme] -- if you're gonna challenge me as an artist, as an emcee, I'm gonna let you know who I am. ... You just gotta know what you're in it for. I got into this because it's hip-hop. On the song 'Sweet' I'm [talking about] over and over, it's a lot of singing. ... I just spoke up for the art of hip-hop and what I feel about it." (Sirius Hip Hop Nation)

damelokidd124 - January 14, 2012 02:33 PM (GMT)
Com went light too. I wanna see Drake do tho.

Daiz - January 14, 2012 05:26 PM (GMT)
You can tell Common wasn't trying, drake on the other hand hasn't said shit all week sooooo he better be writing the most potent fire battle song of all time, the reason why hes prolly taking so long tho is singin is such a habit for him he keeps accidentally ruining his verses

Skorp - January 20, 2012 02:39 AM (GMT)
has Lupe ever made a diss track?

Daiz - January 20, 2012 02:54 AM (GMT)
He dissed Obama on his last LP if that counts

Skorp - January 20, 2012 03:04 PM (GMT)
 yea that counts. Just wondering what approach Lupe would take at dissing an artist, would he do metaphors or just punchlines.

Daiz - January 20, 2012 05:48 PM (GMT)
I could see Lupe goin in heavy on an artist like Drake, contrary to peoples believes Lupe is prolly one of the most notorious gangsta's from Chicago, him and his partner Chill were moving mad bricks, matter fact before he went all back packer he was spittin thuggery raps with Stack Bundles (RIP)
