Well if yall ain't know a law is about to be passed which can promt out government to shut down any website they want. One of the laws was passed which shut down Pirate bay, Megaupload, and I'm hearing utorrent. One of the next laws that might be passed can allow the US government to shut down any website they choose that they feel goes against them. This law must not pass. And if that doesn't scare you xvideos was down in protest and several other websites. This law can also shut down xvideos and restrict several forms of internet pornography. THIS ACT CAN END FREE PORNOGRAPHY SPREAD THE WORD TO STOP THE OTHER LAWS

My issue with SOPA and PIPA aren't just the BS shit they're trying to do, but it's the fact that the Government will essentially be handing over citizens rights to Corporations....then again they let corporations get away with 9/11 so Im not that surprised, I really haven't spoken on it too much here becuz I didn't think there was anyway they would pass such a brutal form of censorship and policing. Limiting the internet will be exactly the same before youtube & itunes there was wire streaming downloader programs (limewire, kazaa, bearshare etc.) then they started cracking down on that and look what happened? we got tubed sites, torrents and uploader sites of course torrents & uploaders existed at the same time as wire streamers they weren't as convenient and not user friendly THEN those shits got better and better to the point where they are now shit you can listen to an mp3 or watch a video before you D/L now

But yeah thats where it starts man, I mean I look at it from both sides and I understand where both sides are coming from but there are WAAAAAAY better ways to handle piracy like for a minute I was downloading comics cuz I ain't feel like ordering them then one day I noticed there were no new comics getting uploaded anymore and I checked the news and it said "Comic Book companies over come website piracy" and at first I was bummed but at the same time it was done in a respectable way, I mean they didn't do no bullshit like tracking down downloaders or blaming upload sites they went at THE SOURCE of the sharing they didn't drag it out into some crazy court shit or blame users to the worst degree possible they used the DMCA policy to their advantage and did what they had to do to combat bootleggers, now of course you still CAN get free comics but they made it much more difficult and broke up organized bootleg rings

Yeah, but if SOPA, ACTA and PIPA, all passed anytime a site used other intellectual properties even if its a parody the character copy right holders could file a complaint and have the site taken down. EXample:

A while back Bangbros released a Halloween scene that parodied Scooby-Doo in likeness and character namesake, if the holders of Hanna-Barbara wanted to they could say said content is copy right infringement for using characters likeness and names, and the list goes on and on. Hell if you even DREW a picture of Velma naked getting double teamed by monsters your site could go down even tho you drew it. This would violate the sattire and fare use laws we have in place already.
