Title: Metal Gear Solid 5 info
Daiz - May 15, 2012 11:34 PM (GMT)

Leading up to E3 where Kojima will announce the current projects such as:Project Ogre, Zone Of The Enders 3 and the completed Metal Gear Rising:Revengeance, he's expected to announce the Next Metal Gear Solid Chapter so heres all that is known for now:

-It will run on the newly developed Fox Engine
-The Fox engine was originally used for Metal Gear Solid:Rising before it was given to platinum games.
-The Engine is designed to make multi-platform development easier so the next title might show up on XBOX as well.
-It's also designed for future gen consoles such as Playstation 4 and Xbox 720
-The engine employs realistic lighting and might possibly create large open world environments as hinted at for MGS5.

-Since Solid Snake's story is done, the presumed protagonist is Big Boss.
-The Game will most likely take place after the events of Peace Walker
-The Setting has been hinted at being in Africa.
-The use of a dog companion has been consistent with the Fox Engine Demo, Concept art and "Diamond Dogs" logo below
-Much like MGS2 we might see a second protagonist in the form of that African kid from the demo

-The Diamond Dog logo is also present on Big Boss's sleeve, meaning the story will most likely have to do with Big Boss's separation from The Patriots and MSF

I finally bought MGS3:Subsistence back in Febuary shit is so dope, I haven't played 4 tho but this one looks like it could be better than 4, I hope the black kid is playable

I havent played MGS4 either, still waiting on PS3's price to drop

I don't really like the direction MGS4 took, it was basically a bunch of old people coming to terms with death pretty depressing and anti climatic to me. The first 3 are epic tho

^Hell Yeah, that jungle epicness, the camo, the james bond overtones, the cut scenes were fun and not annoying, the health and stamina system, it was perfect! I think thats why MGS4 was so bleh cuz Kojima just wanted to get it out the way so he could have fun with the prequels Peace Walker could've easily been MGS5 from every stand point

http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/06/20/koj...-you-two-things-Kojima is interested in social interactions and something about "favors"
-Solid Snake's story isn't over yet, even tho he was suppose to die at the end of 4
-This could mean either a prequel starring Solid Snake or remakes of the first two games

I haven't played 4 but I beat 3 and 2, but supposedly 4 was hours upon hours of cut scenes im still gonna cop tho. But knowing Kojima with time this game is gonna be dope. What I don't get is all the MGS2 hate. It was a solid game, the story was a bit on the complicated side but it was a great sequel.

I like MGS2, I think people hated it cuz of Raiden, and some gameplay and cinematic flaws like I remember there was a point where Raiden runs down a hallway *cut scene* runs back the other way *cut scene* with no real gameplay in between still a good game tho

But with a story as stacked as MGS 2 it was kinda needed, from what I heard about MGS4 its about 4 hours or so of cut scenes. MGS2 was solid (no pun intended) I'm prolly gonna give it another play through.

It's a classic no doubt, so much detail went into the stage it's crazy and it doesn't have that many textures when compared 3 but it's still good shit, it took everything good about the first one and multiplied it by 5, I watched the documentary for how it was made a while back really shed light on how important the little things are

MGS4 is worth the buy. Story wise, it was a bit of closure, but meh. I kinda felt like Kojima shat all over Snake but it makes sense. He was never really supposed to have a 'happy' ending. At any rate, hype for this and Re-vengeance too. Mostly cause platinum games makes some gems.

MGS4 is good in terms of closing but I felt like the cast was a lil too senior citizen status, I love the Beauty and Beast unit's designs but everyone else is just sooo old, Re-Vegeance seems cool but I heard it's not gonna be cannon due to the over the topness
