Artist Notes:This was a very last minute choice cuz I dont believe in Valentines day since I think its just a corporate pitch to sell cutesy shit and I only indulge in it when I'm in a relationship. But then I said "aw what the hell Imma wish everyone luck gettin theres" at first it was hard findin a decent artist or pic to use then I saw a still on WSHH of Mariahs new vid and I said "hey that vid is very red and cutesy and Mariah and Nicki Looked right in it so imma just take a video still and stretch it" finding the right still was hard tho cuz I kinda wanted to use Mariah's pic of her in a Nurse outfit but I settled on the one above just cuz it was easier to work wit.....I suggest ya'll check Mariahs vid out by the way. This was also my first jump from BMP format to PNG format cuz BMP wouldn't convert properly online and it'd turn into a gritty ass Jpeg and it pissed me off cuz it would be smooth on my comp but all gritty online so I made the jump finally.

Artist Notes:I cooked this one up fast....just cuz V-Day passed this weekend and I was hesitant to put another one up but then I said "ehhhhh it is an important month for us I gotta remind everyone" Plus I was gonna originally do 3 banners this month Super Bowl V-Day & All-Star Weekend, obviously the sports ones aint make the cut plus I think constantly changin banners would get old fast so I just kinda scrapped the other two and used the V-Day one but then after V-Day Passes you're like "ehhhh Im tired of seein that banner" so I figured I might as well wip it up fast, I was gonna use some Dead prez pics at first but I settled on Mos just cuz I listen to him more and he has the newest material out but I did use their RBG (Red, Black, Green) bandana theme here. its simple but it'll last long enough for the rest of the month. I really wasn't gonna do it til' I finished the MArch one so I just said "fuck it while im makin banners....."

Artist Thoughts:I love this one for some reason it came together so well, I can say its the first Banner I did that I would continuously open even after its completion. I started workin on it right after the V-Day one then I did the Black History Month one. I got the idea durin allstar weekend I needed a way to celebrate Basket ball while keepin the theme fresh (I aint wanna do nuthin homo like Kings Infamous "Men of Steel" sig) so I said "I wanna have some hot ass girls playin basket ball " and thats where it evolved from, I used the intro to the "Best I ever Had" vid of them runnin through the banner I paused the first group of ladies and nabbed it then I used the second group and flipped it (I had to flip the numbers on their jersey's too) so it looked like they were runnin out from one big shot, then I added Drake in a Supreme Varsity jacket and put him in the middle to pay homage to the vid as well as give that draw of an artist. Plus Drake is kinda heavily involved wit Basket Ball after assistant-coaching the celebrity all star game as well as his role on degrassi so hes not too outta place, plus hes on the cover of my board exclusive March Madness mixtape so he fits in fine on it. I think that the real strong point tho is the font game On HHRU I wanted a very varsity styled font complete with tail I was close to makin the mistake of puttin "Hrru" but I caught it in time. the rest I wanted a freshman styled font of course none font would work without the proper color scheme so orange and brick red, they meshed good. Everything about this banner wreaks bad ass I love it to death.

Artistic Notes:THis was our first annual New Music Week, where I flooded the boards with tons of new tracks, I liked the artwork of Diddy-Dirty Money's first album "Last Train To Paris" so I built it kinda like that, Kanye Was leading the pack with good friday music drops so he got top billing that year, plus I really wanted to use that image of him so it did the trick.

Artist Notes:Funny story so I was playing MGS on the PC at the time when I was doing banners and for some reason I really loved the Font so I tried find an excuse to use it. So I took a pic of Wayne that was gray scaled and sorta colored it in and then filtered it to give it that MGS2 green tint. I slapped it together pretty quick overall and it was very short lived due to Melo saying it was off. Not really my fav either but hey I got to drop the font right?

Artistic Notes:Even tho it was a while ago I remember makin this banner like it was yesterday, it was the night of MTV's movie awards, I had a final coming up in my drawing class and Melo was buggin over the Weezy banner so I went to work at something to shut him up :lol: The background was taken from graffiti artist Retna's site I was on it doing research for my final and since I liked the photo I figured I'd use it, but since this is the HHRU I felt compelled to have an artist featured in it but I was drawing a blank at to who would fit. I had a Curren$y cut out sittin on my hard drive for a minute so I figured "eh what the hell everyone knows him by now plus its time for him to shine on our humble forum plus the bandana shit goes good with the tagger theme" The orange letters and shit were a throw back to our OG color scheme. all in all it's prolly one of my fav banners cuz it shut DMK up.

There are so many allusions in this joint it's ridiculous
-It's obviously dedicated to their feud
-The Rocnation flag is homage to the Japanese flag
-Jay-z's pic is somewhat an allusion to M. Bison and having his own country
-The HHRU logo is capcom's font
