PLOT
After the Battle for Hogwarts was over, and Voldemort defeated, the wizarding world began to heal under a new Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. The end of a long war gave an era of peace, and the wizarding world was quiet. Hogwarts, the famous English wizarding school, fell to a new, young administration under the former-Slytherin Yvonne Taeryn.

But not everything was sunshine and rainbows. Former Death Eaters who evaded capture or death began to find each other. Slowly, like a broken vase being repaired, they formed a new regime under the bitter Draco Malfoy. The heinous acts of this malevolent group have only just begun...

Once more, the wizarding world is being divided between the factions of good and evil. Who knows what will happen in this eternity?

Luke had a tendency to wander around the grounds at Hogwarts. It was a rather aimless ramble throughout the grounds that would end wherever it ended and not be incredibly important where that place was to him. As long as it kept him away from the Slytherin Common Room and away from anyone who would take the chance to either mock him or stay away from him quite visibly. He had taken to wandering as it often kept him moving and away from anyone who might cause a problem. He liked it better that way. If he stayed away, than nothing could happen. Every time he got involved something bad happened...

Today the wandering had brought him out into the Forbidden Forest. He knew he wasn't supposed to be there. He also knew that if any teacher caught him out in the Forest he would be in detention from now until his N.E.W.T. examinations right before his year was completed and he was free to leave Hogwarts and start his own life.

Oh how he looked forward to the days of doing what he wanted, starting his own career and living in his own home without his parents or younger brother to deal with and argue with. It would be a wonderful day indeed when he was on his own.

However, today would not be such a day, and as he walked through the darkening woods of the forest. He sighed, figuring at least for now he had some privacy.

Draco had planned on coming to the Forest for some time perhaps he could gather some of the local creatures to his cause. He smiled as he thought of what he was planning he was not the nice front that he put up he was still Dark and evil. He smirked at the thought of succeding where Lord Voldemort had failed, killing Harry Potter.

He saw however a figure coming and flinched away, he then saw it was only Lucius that god for nothing blood traitor of a son. He walked out of the tree line and approached his son, he waited for him to notice him before speaking to the boy.

Luke had not been paying much attention to what was going on around him in the forest. That wasn't, admittedly, the smartest thing that he could have done in said situation, what with him being in a forest where there weren't the most friendly of creatures. He could have been attacked at any moment, and he probably would not have noticed it at all. He was in one of his moods... 'sulking' as most people would have called it. Not that they ever paid any attention to him. He was great at being invisible.

However, when there was distinct movement in front of him. It was hard to miss the sound of something moving towards him, and for some reason. Was it some creature that was looking to make him a quick snack, possibly dinner? Was he going to be taken prisoner or killed by centaurs as threats had been made in past times at Hogwarts? His hand flew into the pockets of his robes, gripping the familiar wood of his wand. The mahogany seemed to warm at his touch.

He looked up, blue eyes searching for whatever creature it could be. He froze in his tracks when he noticed exactly who the creature was. Yes, who, not what. The creature walking towards him was probably the foulest creature in the Wizarding World. Draco Lucius Malfoy. His father.

Luke's gaze turned into a glare so cold it might be able to freeze hell over. Not that he'd want that if it meant the man in front of him would be spared the suffering he would face in death.
"What are you doing here?" he spat coldly, not even bothering to use any title to refer to his father.

"So cold to the man whose loins helped give you life? So cruel as to not address me properly like your brother would? So mean of you my son, so cruel indeed." Draco drawled on as he returned his sons glare of equal measure he smirked as he thought of what he would do to the boy if he said something smart or not considering he was in the Forbidden Forest. He smirked at the boy his own feelings mixed, he wanted his boy to like him and adore him again but that was not to be ever again, he was to be hated and despised for the rest of his days. He simply had grown use to Lucius's miss treatment of him. As long as he treated Scorpius right he would not get a good dose of Cruciatus from him.

"Do you really think I'm doing anything here except rebuild the Dark Lord's army like it was in the old days, the days of glory! Before he was defeated by Potty." Draco looked at the boy and wondered what was it what had he done wrong? Had he messed up somewhere in raising Lucius?

"I have no proper title to give you any longer," Luke spat back in response to his father's cool drawl. He had been getting better at keeping his anger levels in check as of late. However, he could barely keep his hatred for his father from pushing his anger levels high enough to make the use of the Cruciatus Curse not look so bad. How dare the man he hated make his presence on the grounds of the school that was supposed to be a haven from him! Hogwarts was supposed to be free of parents (that is, of course, if your parents did not teach at the school).
"And the cruelty I give you is no more cruelty than that that you inflict on people who have done nothing but be who they are. They have done nothing wrong. I find no harm in showing cruelty to you, perhaps it is some atonement for that which you inflict on the innocent," Luke responded. That was probably the most he'd said in a long while to anyone. Yes, sticking Luke around the man he hated certainly did bring out the more negative and more social and talkative parts of his personality.

He glared at his father, having no reason to give him any other look than that of pure hatred and loathing. He would get nothing else from the seventh year. Even completely changing his personality would probably do little to reconcile his son to him.
"Your ways of speaking about Harry Potter are very immature. And you will find no people or creatures sympathetic to the Dark Lord after he robbed them of a respected man who let them live in this forest with peace and compassion. I would leave the campus, now. Or shall I call for the Headmistress to give you a formal escort?" he asked coldly.

"No proper title fine, how about Lord? Like so many others have taken to calling me? Or perhaps father?" He spat his own anger quickly rising this freak was no son to him just a blood traitor that would die when the purging came about. Draco let his mind wander as he looked at this boy he knew that this child was no person he would want to be around any longer. If it wasn't for Pansy he would have killed the boy at ten when he said that he would not follow in his footsteps, he had wanted to kill him at that moment, nothing less was deserving of the boy. He smirked as he thought of all of this he would eventually kill him and make good on the promise he had made, to kill him when he was of age.

"Cruelty? Really, what cruelty? I simply teach them their place below my heel! As is the place of all blood traitors and muggle borns. Those who support them and their rights are also under my heel!" Draco snarled at this child who thought himself better than Draco he would teach him better if he even tried anything funny Draco would tear him apart without a second thought, he knew that this boy wouldn't turn his back on him. Plus the moment he left he would hide, he knew this forest and he no longer feared it.

"A respected man who was a muggle lover and a blood traitor, though I will admit his greatness he was a great wizard a powerful man but he was also a fool." Draco said as he returned his son's glare full measure he was as angry as his son was not a man but a boy that should have been killed before he could reach this point of power. Where he could take on his father.

"Go get her and then try to find me. After all you can't apparate and disapparate on Hogwarts Grounds, so run and get the bitch. Watch me be gone by the time your get back." Draco told him rather calmly he was not afraid of this boy and he knew that he would be fun to mess with Draco pondered was it really worth it to taunt this boy?

"Of all the titles you have thrown in my face since I was a child neither of those titles do you deserve, nor would I grace you with calling you by them. Just because others choose to call you such names and give you the false thoughts of having power does not mean I will bow to their whims and grace you with the same," he responded, his tones going ice cold. They were filled with such little emotion that it came out as white-hot fury. To some who had not heard him speak before, the manner would scare them. It would do little to confirm the fact that he was, in fact, a reject of his household. Even though he and his father were clearly disagreeing.
He knew that his father's plans were to kill him as soon as he came of age.But seeing as he was of age now, he did not find much truth in the man's words. However, he knew that his father would try to kill him at some point.

"If a person can wield magic, then they should be treated with equality in the Wizarding World. Some of the greatest witches and wizards were from families of less than pureblood!" he responded heatedly. "And no one belongs under your heel, you have no authority in this world, especially not on these grounds." Luke's eyes never left his father. He had learned well enough not to trust the man, as one could never tell what the demon was going to do. You could not give him an ounce of your trust. He wouldn't do so. He had already underestimated him in childhood and it had taught him a lesson he'd never forget.

"Dumbledore was no fool! He did whatever he could for the students of this school and was a greater wizard than the Dark Lord or you could ever be," Luke responded, his voice practically a snarl. A very uncharacteristic sound for the seventeen year old who had hardly showed an ounce of emotion to anyone for years. He wasn't about to back down.

"There are other ways of summoning her without letting you leave my presence," Luke responded. He knew a number of spells that could alert her of their presence and whereabouts in the forest. However, he didn't really want to have to get her. He would prefer to make his father leave himself. He didn't intend to leave. His glare continued, unwavering

"Titles mean little when you have a spawn that is so traitorous that he does not even respect his own father. What a shame if I was in a more open area perhaps I would teach you what I mean by that. However considering it would be a shame to Professor Snape's memory to do so on the grounds I won't." Draco said as he looked at this boy the scum that stood before him, he wanted to tear this boy apart. How dare he insult him? He was not a wise boy his spells were still weak and their power was nothing when compared to that of Draco and his loyal followers who were also once Death Eaters.

"Weilding magic that one of their ancestors stole from us! Under heel is all they can expect to get, after all we are the more powerful race and less likely to do anything dangerous to the world unlike those like the Mudblood Girl. Her and her kind should have been squashed long ago!" Draco retorted in a very cold and calculated tone he had mastered that tone when he was chosen as Dark Lord until a new one rose he chose to rise as that Lord and make all those who were not pureblood and were not blood traitors rulers of their countries.

"Dumbledore was to soft for his own good, he was not worth the time and effort it took to keep him alive. His greatness was only overshadowed by his foolishness, he sought the Hallows and look at where they ended up. In the hands of a weak oaf that doesn't know how to put them to their proper use!" Draco snarled his tone was only reflecting how his mood was shifting he was not a perfect angel and that showed in how he spoke about Harry and Dumbledore he was a Dark Wizard thats all there is to it. He was not a friendly happy go lucky guy like some thought he was.

"Then why don't you boy? Are you afraid you'll get detention?" He asked taunting him, Draco had been meaning to have a go at this Headmistress she was as much a fool as Dumbledore if not more of a one. He knew she was a blood traitor and a house traitor! So that meant she would need to die in order for his perfect world to prosper. He was angered that a Slytherin could betray their own and do what she had done.

"Bring her here! Let's see what a Blood Traitor could do to the new Dark Lord!" He yelled at the boy his anger was rising and it was obvious by how he was acting his face was red. His eyes were colder than before and he stood firm his wand however was being held tighter.

"If any father can disown their son, I believe a son should be able to do the same in his own right. That is what I have chosen to do, and so you have no title with me," Luke growled in response, blue eyes flashing coldly with the statement. "And as to Professor Severus Snape, I am glad you see to do honor to a man who is worth honoring. Snape aided in the defeat of Voldemort, and to that we can be truly grateful." Luke had heard the stories of Snape, as it wasn't hard to hear of them in a school where he had been Headmaster. Harry Potter had made sure Snape had been given the honors deserved him.

"There is no way to steal magic! If it was so, it would be in much heavier practice now, in the present where people like you exist. Thus showing that your arguments are not well founded in educated fact," Luke responded, his eyes narrowing but a smirk forming on his lips as he pointed out yet another flaw in the logic of his father's followers and their way of life.
"The 'Mudblood Girl' you speak of, she has done many great things for the Wizarding World in her time here. She has helped more people to understand how delusional yours and your followers' ideals are." His father's voice did not scare him, nor was he really scared at the moment. Standing up to his father and proving him wrong in some areas made him quite fulfilled enough. If he died now no one would really care anyways, so what did he have to lose?

"Dumbledore was a great man with or without his mistakes! Everyone makes them, and I'm sure your family has made enough in their history to overshadow those that Dumbledore made," Luke responded, being very careful not to use the word 'our' in talking about Draco's family. He no longer wanted to be a part of it (even if his mother still seemed to care for him somewhat). "And the Hallows need to be controlled by someone who has an idea of what their power is and will not use it in a foolish manner. They are in good hands," Luke said, his tones calm and collected despite the turmoil within.

"Perhaps I will," Luke spat. He wasn't sure if he wanted to though... It seemed to be playing right into his father's hands. However, having her and her magic here would definitely be of help if this encounter led to a duel. He wasn't all that afraid of detention.

Suddenly, a figure seemed to materialize from the trees. It was none other than the Headmistress herself, emerald eyes calm and rather collected for one who was facing the "New Dark Lord". Her wand was in hand, though it was held at a more relaxed position as she stood in the clearing away from both Luke and his father.

"Ah, but Luke has no need to call me here. I have a sense for where I am needed, Draco," she responded cooly, smirking slightly as she responded. She flicked her wand lazily.
"Now, what is it that you needed me for? Surely you should be leaving these grounds immediately, or I shall have to forcibly remove you..,"

"Boy, know that by saying what you did you have angered me! I respect him as the Potion Master and follower of Lord Voldemort that he was not the traitor he became! You boy know nothing of why I honor him, he was not just a traitor it was his love for a mudblood that drove him to betray his own!" Draco snarled as he looked at him Snape was only worth honoring because he had been a friend of the Malfoy family. He was pissed and Luke was not making it any easier on the man.

"She is still a Mudblood and will remain one as long as she continues to hold a wand until it is snapped under my heel will I call her a Mudblood like she deserves!" Draco's own feelings were getting in the way at least the boy hadn't called him Ferret yet that was one grace that the boy had he didn't call him names like Potter had. He still kept his eyes on the boy, he would not let him think that he wasn't going to keep his guard up.

"The Hallows belong in the hands of someone who is going to use them for what they were meant! Not let them collect dust like Potter is letting them, after all that stone would be most useful in trying to bring back Lord Voldemort. The Cloak what a useful tool something to use against enemies kill them whilst they sleep, the Elder Wand unbeatable in combat. Such wonderful tools if used properly, though I doubt that Potter will use them in that fashion." Draco snarled at the boy he meant every word about the Hallows they were not useless they were meant to be used to gain power and mastery over death not let them rot and lose their abilities.

Draco raised his wand and aimed it straight for the new woman his eyes flashed in fear as he saw the emerald eyes, "Potter?" He whispered until he realized it was a woman, he sighed it was only the Headmistress. He smirked as he looked at her, "I only have to go back a few feet before I'm off your grounds. Woman watch how you address me." He snarled he was not afraid of her and it was obvious in how he acted toward her that his fear was not of her but of Harry Potter who fortunately did not work at Hogwarts.

"Do you think I care if I have angered you with the words I have spoken? I only speak the truth, and that which everyone has heard and learned to take as the truth of the matter. Severus Snape changed his ways and for most of his time as a supposed Death Eater he was in fact working for Dumbledore, the Order, and standing up for the good of things. His reasons for doing so, to protect even a Muggle-born witch, were noble," Luke responded, figuring that these insistances were only angering his father further. And that didn't seem like all that bad of a thing to happen, really. It was good to see he could get a rise out of the man. It meant he presented some kind of a threat to his security, whether mental, physical, magical or any combination.

"She will always be a Muggle-born, no matter what she does. She cannot change her heritage. However, there are many more people willing to keep her in her position as a witch and keep you at bay. I doubt you will ever rise high enough to crush anyone under your heel, as you keep making mention to," Luke responded coldly. There were many things that he could employ that would probably push his father even farther into his anger. That would be entertaining. He had learned quite a bit about his family's previous history in Hogwarts.

"True, the Hallows are indeed powerful, but they can be used for much good as well as the evil you speak of. And, if you even managed to bring him back, Voldemort would not be the same as he was when he tried and failed to control the Wizarding World years ago. I believe he has the right idea in keeping them from being employed in such foul ways. I hope that they stay in his hands until the time being where they are passed on to someone with more logic," Luke responded simply. Each of the three was powerful in its own right, but he hardly wanted to see them used in the ways in which his father spoke of using them. That was truly horrible.

Yvonne smirked in response, nearly letting out a laugh at the older man's response to her entry. She had never had her eye color get her confused for any of the Potters before, but it was funny.
"No, I am not Harry Potter. Do I look like him? Do I honestly sound like him?" she responded, her tones drawling but the amusement clearly evident in her voice.
"This entire forest is on the grounds of Hogwarts, Draco. And even if you leave the land I will traverse in, the Centaurs will surely deal with you if you venture too far into what they call their lands, and what should belong to them. I would suggest you return to your own residence, now. I would rather not have to do anything unpleasant in front of a student, particularly your son," she responded, her tones still cool and slightly amused.
"And I will address you how I please," she stated.

"He still committed acts that you find evil and abhorrent no matter the noble intentions he still killed and tortured and did all that the Dark Lord asked." Draco spat back as he looked at this boy he would teach him to make Draco queston his favorite teacher at Hogwarts, he wanted more than anything to teach this little git that he was the Master he was the one that would teach the boy and the world of Wizards.

"I will rise high enough to do all that I desire, I have learned many things both Dark and Light. Because of that I have learned to teach you and those who wish to stop me! I will also kill Harry Potter because Lord Voldemort failed." Draco said as he looked at his and knew that this was not waht he had been expecting to hear from his son but he let it go at what he was saying he would not let his son know that it had hurt him to hear his son say that about his power.

"I was not calling you POTTER!" He yelled as he looked at her, he had been startled and he was uncertains as to what he was going to do as he was not expecting her to be calling in Harry, he did not want to meet Harry here and be in Forest.

"Why should I listen to you Blood Traitor? I have no care about what you say you should not have become Headmistress." Draco snarled as he looked at her he was not afraid of anything and it was showing in his eyes and face. He would show her what it was to be a Pureblood.

"My son has seen and done more than you could possibly do to me, I know that Lucius would do any of the things he would want to do to anyone." He was looking at her and waited for a moment to tell her how he felt about the Forest and Centaurs.

"If he had done all the Dark Lord had asked then he would not have ended up in the situation he was in. He also would not have been considered part of the Order," Luke responded. "He did what he was asked to do, but not from the Dark Lord. It was all part of a carefully constructed plan." Luke was enjoying tossing down his father's ideals on the man, especially when they were entirely false. If he was really all true to the Dark Lord than his fate would not have befallen him. Luke knew his history of the world and famous people well enough from his years in the library at Hogwarts, devouring volume after volume.

"Do you really expect to be able to kill Harry Potter if the Dark Lord failed? He was more powerful than you are, and he could not complete the task. Not to mention Harry Potter seemed to spend a great deal of time one step ahead of you when you were in school. You will never rise very high because he will stop you and you should know that. You fear him," Luke responded, the last sentence coming out in a mocking tone. And if Draco tried to deny it, his reaction to the mere sight of emerald eyes proved it.

"Really? Because that's sure what it sounded like. I do believe I heard you say something about 'Potter' as I entered," she responded, eyebrow quirked mockingly and her smirk saying the same. She didn't think very highly of Draco, nor did she really expect to have all that much of a problem with him. Perhaps she should drop a line to the Auror though...

"You should listen because you are on my grounds, and I have much more authority and power here than you do, if not more power in general. I would watch who you call a 'Blood Traitor'," she said, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Also, I would watch your accusations on Headmistress. I think most everyone who has appointed and worked under me is quite happy with my appointment. I would not speak in such matters as you are not concerned."
"I have faith my students will not do horrible things, and I do believe I can trust him. However, I know a snake when I see him and I can figure out who not to trust," she said simply. The older man did not scare her. She felt comfortable on her own grounds, and the Forbidden Forest was somewhere she had become familiar with. In fact, her manner was almost the same as that when she was disciplining students much younger than herself.
