Welcome!

Welcome to Hogwarts Night Class
Hogwarts Night Class exists in an alternate reality, in which the worlds of Harry Potter and Twilight have been compiled, with bits from Vampire Night. The current year is 2008.

Headmaster Kittley and Professor Cullen have come together to try an experiment. As the Cullens have spent years living a vegetarian lifestyle, their influence has spread to many others and together, the two have decided to try their experiment at Hogwarts. The Night Class was created for vegetarian vampires to maintain a lifestyle submerged with humans, in hopes that maybe, one day, the two can live together peacefully.

Only the Headmaster and the Cullens know of the vampire presence, except for two students. Adalia Leigh and Tatsu Szabo are the Student “Night Guards”, with powers higher than the Prefects. Their job is to ensure that students remain indoors at night and to keep the humans and vampires at a safe level. At meals they ensure that vampires don’t reveal themselves to humans and it is their duty to try and prevent humans from learning of their existence.

Night Class students are to be only at the masquerade or their own school. No Night Class students are to wander Hogwarts or the grounds.
Weather Unusually warm with mostly clear skies. A few clouds have rolled in but the full moon is still visible and glows with a bright silver aura. No sign of rain and the humidity is down to a shocking 20%

Vampires may NOT wander the Hogwarts grounds or school by themselves. All Night Class students are accompanied by a Night Guard and may only talk to Day Class students while each is on their own grounds.

The ball had been going well, despite the babbling potion slipped into the punch bowl. However, Kittley has suddenly announced that all students return to the Great Hall and has retreated the terrace back to the school, locking the students inside the masquerade. Outside, though, looms danger. Bella Swan had slunk away and tried to go off to the Night School, but Night Guard Tatsu Szabo caught her, just before a hungry Kei launched at her. Night Guard Adalia Leigh came running after Eva found her, in time to see Kei attacking Szabo…

It is very easy to get lost in the maze of winding corridors, each leading into another or bringing you to one you've already passed. Dank walls glisten with light moisture and a musky scent fills your nose. Be careful not to get lost.

Grimacing as her heels clicked loudly against the uneven cobblestones of the corridor floor, Mercedes wrinkled her nose as the familiar but still annoying musky damp smell of the dungeons hit her. That was one of the reasons why she never down here unless it was necessary. The smell was really starting to bug her. And the fact that it was impossible to find your way back to the Entrance Hall if you made a mistake and turned the wrong way.

Adjusting her school bag on her left shoulder, Mercedes groaned loudly as her bag slid off her shoulder and tumbled onto the floor. "Great." She muttered to herself, quiet voice echoing off the empty stone walls. Bending down gracefully, she gathered up the parchment and textbooks that had fallen out of her book bag. She really hated this hallway.

"Where am I?" She said outloud, hoping that someone answered her, even though she knew she sounded pretty stupid at this point. Who still got lost at Hogwarts when they were in their 6th year? "Well, I haven't been done here for ages..." She defended herself.

"HELLO??!?!?" Charmaine yelled, really desperate now. Someone had to find her. She couldn't just rot down here forever!

Jumping up slightly, Mercedes looked around scared. Was someone yelling from one of the dark supposedly empty corridors? Could it be one of Hogwart's infamous ghosts that were just trying to trick her into getting lost?

"Hello?" She said timidly. "Is anyone there?" She said louder, really hoping that someone was just lost and it wasn't a ghost or something.

Was that? Yes, it was. It was the sound of another peron's voice. "YES. OVER HERE." Charmaine yelled, not caring how much of a fool she sounded right now. At least the voice answering back sounded like a girl. The Asian didn't think she could live with herself if it had been a boy. How stupid would she have looked then?

Mercedes sighed. Shoving the rest of her things back into her bag quickly, she ventured into the dark corridor. If I get lost too because of this person... She grumbled to herself. Mercedes had things to do, places to be. She did not want to spend her afternoon or maybe even days, in this filthy maze. "Where are you?" She called, eyes searching the dim unlit hall.

There.

Was that a figure jumping up and down, waving her arms?

Did someone just move up ahead? Yes! It was someone. In her excitment at being found in this puzzling labrinyth, she began to jump up and down like a school girl trying out for the cheerleading team.

Grabbing her bags off the floor, Charmaine stupidly rushed up to the girl that was her savior. Stopping slightly in her tracks, Charmaine flushed. It was Mercedes Winter. Oh god. She thought to herself, wondering if she would ever be able to live it down. One of the most popular girls had taken her time to find her. Charmaine winced. How much was she going to have to pay for this favor?

Smirking slightly as the recognizable Charmaine Sheh, 6th year in Hufflepuff rushed up to her, Mercedes grinned. "Lost?" She asked shortly, not wanting to hang around. Taking in the Asian's flushed cheeks, her grin grew even wider. Seemed like Charmaine knew who she was and her reputation as a Slytherin.

"No worries. You don't owe me anything..." She trailed off. "yet." She finished. Turning around, she gestured for the fumbling girl to follow her out of the tiny side corridor and back into a more mainstream one. "There." She said, spotting a groups of people walking by. "Don't get lost again." She commanded and sauntered away.

Charmaine could only nod. She was afraid that she would blabber on about something totally irrelevant and insult the older Slytherin. Mercedes was a girl that everyone had to watch carefully. Sometimes she was in the best of moods and everything was all nice and rainbowy and than sometimes she was in ultra blah mode and went crazy on everyone.

Following her to the more well lit place of the dungeon, Charmaine thanked her profusely, trying to forget that Mercedes might call her on a favor or two in the future. Damn it. She thought to herself thinking about what kinda of favors would be needed of a girl that had everything. Looking up to find her walking away, Charmaine breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't know if she could handle that gir's presence anymore than needed.

"At least she helped me out." She thought outloud. "She could have just made fun of me and left me there." She said, trying to find a better side of the Slythering Queen.

Mercedes sighed to herself as she continued on walking in her abnormally tall heels. Reaching her hand up to fluff up her perfect brown hair, she sighed yet again. Really now, It was just so boring and this Slytherin needed some fun. Where were all the boys that she used to flirt on over the years and became good friends with?

Taking a quick glance at her watch, she sighed. They probably weren't even out of bed yet. Exiting the dungeon part of Hogwarts, Mercedes stood in the Entrace Hall bored out of her mind.

Making their way down the grand staircase and into the dungeons Ophelia never once let go of his hand, even when she struggled obviously with her own bag, which meant only one thing: it was heavy. Great.
Navigating their way through the maze of hallways Remy lead the way, pulling her close behind. He could tell she wasn't looking forward to going into the Slytherin Common room at all. He knew how she hated the green tint that layered the room, which is why they were only staying down there for a little bit. Once he had disposed of his bag, changed into something comfortable and grabbed his chess set they were on their way back to the Ravenclaw common room.
Remy didn't mind always being up there as long as no one else was there, otherwise he just felt out of place all the time. It didn't help that Jared seemed to dislike him strongly - if not hate.
"Yeah, still green. What do you expect though? Thats one of our house colours." With a shrug he turned down the last hall that would lead them to the 'door' of his common room.

“I don’t know,” Ophelia shrugged and gesturated. “Maybe… maybe you Slytherins got smart and petitioned for a change down there. A new scenery. Maybe a Common Room more like that of the Ravenclaws, eh? We have a pretty fab Common Room.” Following along behind him, her face had contorted into one of displeasure. Urgh. Slytherin Common Room… whine whine whine.

Strugging with her bag again, she made a groaning noise and tried to shift it so that the books would readjust themselves in her bag and hopefully take SOME of the strain off her shoulder.

It was a vain attempt.

Eyeing the damp walls around her, her lip curled in distaste. Walls weren’t supposed to be wet and shiney like this. Couldn’t anyone clean down here or something? What were those House Elves doing all day?

AND WHY WERE THE WALLS DANK ANYWAY?

Squriming, Ophelia followed Remy still, eyeing the various bugs crawling around on the floor. Spideres. Ich. Beatles. Double ich. WAS THAT CENTIPEDE?! URRRRRGH! Whine whine whine! Whimpering and scuttling forward, Ophelia tugged Remy’s hand. “Let’s move faaaaaaster.”

Remy laughed at how much of a girl she was being, which would make sense, but still. As she pulled him faster down the hall to the door he tugged against her trying to slow her down to a normal pace."Oh c'mon. It's not that bad." A smile tugged at one side of his mouth, forming a small smirk. "If you really think it's that bad I could.. I could hold you." His voice hinted as teasing, but inside he knew he was being totally serious.

The tease received a simple sticking out of a tongue from Ophelia, and another tug on his arm. Clearly she was not looking forward to being down here more than she had to be.

As they came up to the door he saw a few other Slytherin's standing around. Under any circumstances it would have been fine, however now, hand-in-hand with a Muggle-born, it was anything but normal. For the first time since he'd first brought her down to his common room he realized that she might be the first and only Muggle-born to ever pass through the stone door. Receiving a few glares from the loitering Slytherins he looked back to the wall.
Releasing a sigh he glanced to Ophelia and spoke the password.

Now carrying the chess board in exchange for the bag (which, admittedly, was rather uncomfortable to carry - though it was at least much lighter), Ophelia walked with a purposeful stride.

"I didn't take THAT many books," the girl replied with a miff in her voice. "Just a bit of light reading, really." For a moment, the shiftiness was audible in her voice, but she managed to brush it off quickly. "Sometimes I run out of things to read, you know? Want to get ahead in my classes - O.W.L's are next year, after all, and if I'm to do my best, I need to be my best."

Shrugging as though this was all a matter of nonchalance, she made her way up the stairs, shaking out her curls behind her, tossing them behind her shoulders.

Hmph.

It figured that Remy would knock on her reading material. Really, she couldn't help her curiosity - that plant had to exist. Had to! One of those books had to say something that would help her or at least guide her in the proper direction. What could one do but read all she could to find what she wanted.

When determined, Ophelia was determined.

"Besides. I didn't make you carry my bag," she sing-sang as she skipped up a few steps, happily bouncing about with the much lighter cargo.

Only a Ravenclaw would be that obsessed with doing well. Remy had often wondered why Ophelia had been placed in Ravenclaw in the first place, however, times like these reminded him of the reason. She could be, and always has been somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to school work. Shaking his head he re-adjusted the bag over the other shoulder, lifting the flap as she bounced along ahead of him.

"Herbology? Wait, was there an assignment?" Closing the bag again he broke into a jog to catch up with her. "Did he give us something?" A small panic had erupted in his stomach. Remy knew the lack of sleep from the previous night had left him dazed, but he hadn't thought he'd missed that much from this mornings classes.
