Title: Slytherin Cheerleading Tryouts
Amanda Connelly - May 15, 2008 11:20 PM (GMT)
Amanda headed down to the quidditch pitch with her cheerleading bag slung across her shoulder. Upon entering the pitch, Amanda headed out to the field to check out how it was for tryouts. The ground was firm and supple, making it good for jumps and routines. Glancing up at the skies, Amanda saw that there was no cloud in sight and that the sun was making it a perfect day to be outside. Finally, there was a nice cooling breeze out, which would come in handy in cooling the girls down after Amanda finished their work out. Sighing in satisfaction of the good weather, Amanda turned and headed towards the lockers to change.
Once inside the lockers, Amanda dropped her bag on the bench and opened it up, pulling out the newly designed cheerleading outfit. Changing quickly out of her clothes and into the uniform, Amanda threw all her stuff into a locker. Tying her white sneakers up, Amanda took a look at herself in the mirror. Her mother had really outdone herself this time. The top was sleeveless and cropped and the skirt was pleated. The entire uniform was green and gray, with Slytherin written across the top in gray. For final touches, Amanda tied up her curly blonde hair into a high ponytail before heading out to the pitch. She waited for Dani and the girls out there, arms crossed and ready to begin work.
Estelle Hart - May 15, 2008 11:24 PM (GMT)
This was bloody perfect.
So Slytherin was going to make fools of themselves by creating a cheerleading team. Estelle found this increasingly hilarious by the second. Jogging out to the grounds, her hair loose and flying in the wind, a smirk grew on her face as she spotted Connelly in the most ridiculous outfit she thought she had ever seen. Her sides ached from silent laughter as she drew nearer.
"Wow, Connelly, you look even more like a prat than usual. Congratulations." She ran closer to the blonde girl, mirth in her eyes. "Can I try out?" She put on a fake, girlish voice. "Go Slytherin!" She kicked into the air, letting out a piercing giggle, mocking whoever would join the team. "Not athletic enough to play a real sport like Quidditch, eh? Still, I shouldn't be so cruel. You're doing me a favor. I've needed a good laugh."
Celine Moreau - May 16, 2008 12:05 AM (GMT)
Celine was excited. Today was cheer tryouts and she could not be more eager. Cheer was her passion, her most favorite thing to do. And she could finally show her off her passion for it. She was dressed in grey cheerleading shorts, her black spankies peeking from beneath them and a dark green tank top over a black one. Her hair was tied into a high ponytail and curled for the occasion, with a green and silver ribbion tied neatly. Her wore white cheer shoes and light green eyeshadow. She looked at herself in the mirror, satisfied.
Heading out the the pitch with a bounce in her step, Celine's ponytail swung from side to side. There was already a smile on her face and she was pumped for tryouts. Just as she entered the pictch, she saw Hart was there. Hart? A cheerleader? The tought made her laugh. There was no way Hart had the strength or the spirit to be a cheerleader.
"Not athletic enough to play a real sport like Quidditch, eh?"
Celine froze when she heard Estelle's comment. Not athletic enough?! She felt anger boil inside her. No one seemed to realize just how fit you needed to be to be a cheerleader.
"You have no idea what you're talking about, Hart," Celine spoke up, walking up to Amanada and Hart, "Only a fool would call cheerleaders unalthetic. I doubt you would ever be able to throw a stunt up, or lift yourself into a one; not to mention the energy you need to have for hours at a time. I won't even mention the dancing and the tight moves that make your arms burn, even if you've done it a million times. I'd like to see you try it. Now that would be a laugh."
Estelle Hart - May 16, 2008 12:09 AM (GMT)
Estelle turned, her eyes sparkling with absolute mirth and disdain as another blonde girl approached, dressed ridiculously for cheerleading. She bit back a laugh and observed the girl, promising herself that she would never curl her hair in a ponytail or wear anything close to that absolutely stupid. "Pixie!" she exclaimed, running up and giving the girl a fake hug. "Oh, you look absolutely darling! Are you going to tryout too? Oh, I just love cheerleading!"
Her face suddenly changed to a look of complete seriousness. "That's all very nice, Pixie, but there is no denying that you are making Slytherin into a laughing stock. Like I said, you lot are too unathletic to play a real sport, no matter what you say. But you look adorable." She pinched the blonde girl's cheek rather rougly, letting out a fake giggle.
Celine Moreau - May 16, 2008 12:17 AM (GMT)
Celine's eyes narrowed, "You're just saying so because you know that you'd never make something like cheerleading. As I said you're a fool and you're ignorant. I more athletic then you could wish to be. Cheerleading isn't just jumping around and cheering on a team. There's a lot more."
When Estelle pinch her cheeks, anger flashed through Celine's eyes. She shoved Estelle away roughly, harder then she meant to and causing Estelle to fall back, "Don't touch me," she snapped, "And I might add that I do like the name Pixie; so much better then Pudgy, such a shame that's the only thing boys call you."
Estelle Hart - May 16, 2008 12:28 AM (GMT)
"Oh, please, Pixie," said Estelle coldly, "if I remember correctly, and I always do, I recall you sitting at the Slytherin table quaking in fear at the idea of flying. I play Quidditch, and I've never had a problem with flying. So while you are flipping and jumping around, I'm actually playing a real sport. Don't give me any of this ridiculousness about how you are more athletic than I am. It's a lie and you and I both know it. I know the only reason you even went out to the pitch with Lecavalier is because you were hoping for a snog with the pathetic cheater. Sad, Pixie, sad."
She smirked as Celine shoved her away roughly, regaining her footing quickly and putting up her hands. "No need to get angry, Pixie, I was just trying to be nice." Her lips curled even more at the blonde girl's next words. "Glad you like it. Oh, yes, Pudgy, that's what your boyfriend called me, wasn't it? Sticks and stones, Pixie, sticks and stones."
Celine Moreau - May 16, 2008 12:43 AM (GMT)
Celine let out a bitter laugh now. She clenched her fists at her sides, "You're the liar, Hart. And no one likes liars. Or skanks, for that matter. The only reason why you claim cheer to not be a real sport, is because its too challenging for you. Anyone can fly a broom and anyone can toss a ball at someone. Few can do a back tuck and few can have the guts to actually stunt."
Hearing her mention Dave and what Celine possible intentions of flying with Dave were, she suddenly calmed. Hart, she realized, was an idiot. She could handle that though; Estelle was just trying to get to her. Celine simply had wanted to spend time with her best friend. But hearing her call Dave a cheater.....she couldn't take that. Her entire body tensed. She did not have her wand, but Celine was strong. She could easily take Estelle down.
"Take...that...back," she said through clenched teeth, "You disgusting, lying....." she couldn't finished, "Just because he rejected you, like a smart boy would, for i don't know who would want to be anywhere near you, doesn't make him a cheater. He would never think about cheating on anyone. He has too much of a heart to do that."
Estelle Hart - May 16, 2008 12:48 AM (GMT)
"Now, now, Pixie," Estelle said, her lip curling. "Remember what I said. Sticks and stones. Don't get your knickers in a twist. Might be quite distracting, especially for the energy-comsuming sport of Quidditch, eh?" She withdrew her finger, watching the blonde and waiting for her reaction. "Are you joking, Pixie? I could play your little sport anytime I wanted to. That's more than you can say about Quidditch."
"Take that back?" repeated Estelle, amused. "No, I don't believe I will." She was entertained by Celine's rage. She leaned in close to the blonde girl, incredulous. "He's not a cheater? You sodding slept with him! Apparently your idea of cheating is warped." She leaned back. "Poor, stupid Pixie."
Celine Moreau - May 16, 2008 01:03 AM (GMT)
"Could you now?" Celine asked, tilting her head to the side, "Then I dare you try and cheer. You'll be gone in five minutes. Frustrated your toes won't point, that you can lock it, that you can't flip, that you're too weak to actually lift someone." She ignored the Quidditch comment. She wasn't foolish enough to say she could do something when she wasn't sure if she could. Sure, she could fly a broom with Dave next to her, but she was still new at it.
Celine raised an eyebrow then. All her anger disappeared. She slept with Dave? Celine had no memory of this, and she was very sure she would remember that. What was so bad about falling asleep cuddling next to your best friend? There was no harm done. They did nothing but sleep and it was not planned; just happened.
She smiled innocent at Hart, "I think you're a little judgemental and a little hypocritical. How many beds have you been in? You're like a hallway, anyone can walk in. I'm not going to defend myself from what you said, its not true. And don't you ever call Dave a cheater. He has class; something trash like you lacks."
Rodolphus Lestrange - May 16, 2008 01:11 AM (GMT)
Rodolphus was bored. Bella was nowhere to be found, so he needed to find other ways to entertain himself. He wandered the corridors aimlessly, looking for anyone to hex and tease, but it seemed like everyone was couped up somewhere. Deciding to get some fresh air, Rodolphus made his way outside. It was a beautiful day. The birds chirp up in the trees. The sun beat down brightly, but it wasn't hot, as there was a cool breeze blowing through.
As he wandered around the grounds, he spotted a fellow sixth year slytherin heading towards the quidditch pitch, a bag slung across her body. He slowly began heading towards the pitch, wondering what Connelly was up to. He spotted her walking towards the lockerroom and waited hidden in the shadows for her to come out. When she did, he saw that she was wearing a cheerleading outfit. "Tryouts," he muttered quietly as a smirk played on his lips. Hearing footsteps from behind, Rodolphus turned and saw Hart. His smirk grew wider. "This is going to be fun," he thought as he began to come out of the shadows. He took a few steps before stopping, hearing more footsteps approaching. Jumping into the shadows again, he watched as Moreau walked by. Stepping out of the shadows, Rodolphus headed for the pitch. Stopping just inside the entryway. He watched and listened as the girls threw insults atone another. He was clearing enjoying this.
Deciding he was due for an appearance, Rodolphus slowly and quietly stepped out onto the pitch, drawing his wand from his pocket. He waved his wand and pointed it at Estelle's back as he shouted, "Porcus Cambiare," turning Hart into a pig.
Amanda Connelly - May 16, 2008 02:08 AM (GMT)
Amanda was looking down at the list of all the girls who had signed up to tryout that she did not notice Hart appearing. Upon hearing the girl's voice, she rolled up the sheet and placed her hands on her hips, looking bored as Estelle spoke to her. She made the typical, snotty comments about cheerleading that Amanda had heard countless times. At the remark about being unathletic, Amanda raised her eyebrow at Hart, ready to reply except someone had beaten her to the punch.
Walking in from behind her, Amanda saw Celina Moreau walking in and immediately Hart and Moreau began bickering. Amanda stood impressed with Moreau's replies to Hart and didn't bother stepping in. It clearly soon turned from an argument about quidditch to a private matter that Amanda knew nothing about but clearly Hart was trying to start rumors up once again.
Amanda did have a small silent laughing fit at Moreau's dare to Hart to try and cheer. Amanda could already picture the horrible thing as Hart tried a simple move. Just as the mood looked to be taking a negative turn, Amanda stepped forward and was ready to send Hart on her merry little way. Amanda had tryouts to focus on and she didn't want anyone to put her in a foul mood before things started. However, before she could do anything someone had mysteriously turned her into a pig. Amanda bust out laughing, impressed with the bit of magic that person had performed. Kneeling down in front of the pig, Amanda looked at it.
"You know this suits you Hart," Amanda sneered. "You are as disgusting as a pig. Now run along and look for some mudd to roll around in. I have tryouts to conduct." Amanda then stood up and turned around to face the entrance of the pitch. More students were beginning to pile in. Amanda took note of each girl, sensing by their outfit how dedicated they really were to being a cheerleader. Moreau and a few others were making good impressions on Amanda while others were clearly just here for the hell of it.
"Just a few more people need to show up," Amanda announced to the forming crowd. "In the meantime, if you could just fill out these forms so I get a sense of who you are. The first two sheets are typical medical forms but the last one is a sheet I made," Amanda explained passing the sheets out. The last sheet asked questions about past cheer experience and about why they wanted to be a cheerleader.
Celine Moreau - May 16, 2008 02:23 AM (GMT)
Celine gave Amanda and apologetic look when she recieved her sheet. She had laughed hard at Harts transformation into a pig. It was just like her. Recieving her papers, Celine immediately got to work filling out the medical form. And then, pushing it aside she filled out the form with questions.
She wrote down every time bit of cheer history she had, right down to her gymnastic lessons that she had taken when she was much younger. She felt giddy once again, forgetting about her row with Hart. It was cheer tryouts. No time for bad moods.
Rodolphus Lestrange - May 16, 2008 03:21 AM (GMT)
Rodolphus laughed heartily at the pig. It was a hilarious sight to behold. "Oh," Rodolphus moaned as he calmed himself down. "This is priceless. Glad to see this spell works," he said once he had regained his composure. Pointing his wand at the pig, he muttered, "Cambiare revertus," and watched as the pig turned back into Hart. Rodolphus looked down at Hart, who was down on all four. "Get up," Rodolphus spat. "Don't you have any dignity Hart," he teased.
Seeing how the pitch was getting filled with girls, Rodolphus decided it was time to go. "I would love to stay and watch," he began. "But I got some first years to turn into pigs." He began to walk off calling behind him as he did so. "Thanks for being my test subject Hart."
Estelle Hart - May 16, 2008 03:33 AM (GMT)
Estelle was getting sick of Celine's cheek and was considering sending a spell her way, despite the fact that Amanda was there as well, and would probably team up against her. Estelle could hold her own in a fight, so she was not worried very much. Her lips pursed tightly, she observed Celine with much amusement as she began to insult her. "Trash? Is that the best you can do?" Estelle let out a skeptical laugh; this was too easy.
Then someone went and turned her into a pig.
A warm, rushing sensation swept over Estelle, and for a moment, the disdain left her face and a feeling of complete surprise washed over her. Her body was changing, she was shrinking, and before she knew it, she was on all fours on the dirty ground, her perfect nose replaced with a hideous snout. Rage filled her, but humilation came also.
When Amanda leaned down and spoke to her, Estelle tried to argue back, a whole host of nasty things prepared to leave her mouth. However, all that came out were snorts and squeals, and Estelle promptly stopped talking as soon as she started. She was fuming. Someone would pay for this. Her minscule, beady eyes swept above her, and she caught the face of Rodolphus, obviously the one who had hit her.
Suddenly, the spell was lifted, and Estelle found herself on all fours, staring up at Rodolphus, dirt on her knees and the palms of her hands. For a moment she was too gobstruck to say anything; then, the next moment, hatred filled her and she leapt from the ground, a feral roar leaving her lips as flew toward Rodolphus. "You bastard!" she shouted, flying at him with her fists, trying to do as much damage as possible, blind rage filling her.
Amanda Connelly - May 16, 2008 03:52 AM (GMT)
Amanda bent over in laughter as she heard Hart squeal at her. She was laughing so hard, that she had to grab at the stitch at her side. What happened next didn't help with the pain as she saw Hart on the ground on all fours, which only made her laugh even harder. Hearing Estelle scream Rodolphus' name, Amanda knew that he was the one behind the magical entertainment. As Hart rose to chase Rodolphus, Amanda turned around to watch. She clapped admiringly at Rodolphus for his cheeky little spell before she turned her attention back to Hart.
"Honestly Hart get back on the ground where you belong," Amanda called out as the girl miraclously flew at Rodolphus. "It's a position you should be familiar with." As she watched Hart lunge for Rodolphus, Amanda had a flash back to her earlier comment about being unathletic. "Oh and Hart, what you do isn't athletic, it's more butch. I mean you're attacking with your fists," Amanda added on, momentarily forgetting about the tryouts as the sight before her was too entertaining to ignore.
Danilynn Hastings - May 17, 2008 02:06 AM (GMT)
Dani made her way down to the quidditch pitch a quarter to noon, dressed in a form fitting grey tee and dark green capri sweats. She had promised to help Amanda with the tryouts and was excited to see who had turned up and how things went. She strolled casually onto the pitch and immediately spotted Amanda.
"Mandi," Dani called to her as she approached closer. As she neared, she heard snorts and squeals, and looked down to see a pig. "What is a....," she stopped as the pig suddenly changed into Estelle. Dani burst out laughing, seeing Estelle on the ground on all fours. "Oh this is too funny," Dani said, her hands resting over her stomach from laughing so hard.
"You bastard!" she shouted, flying at him with her fists, trying to do as much damage as possible, blind rage filling her.
Dani watched as Estelle flew towards Rodolphus, branishing her fists at him, laughing even more. "Well that was entertaining," Dani said as she turned to face her cousin. Dani scanned the pitch quickly noticing that qute a few girls turned up for tryouts. "We got a good turn out," Dani commented.
Amanda Connelly - May 18, 2008 06:39 PM (GMT)
Amanda turned around at her name being called and saw Dani approaching. Finally calming down from laughing so hard, Amanda nodded her head in agreement. "Yes it is a good turn out. Of course now I just have to see who's really here for the team or for the boys," Amanda said in an undertone to Dani. She instantly forgot about the ordeal that happened before, wanting to once again focus on tryouts. "Thanks for helping out again. With so many girls I need someone else to do the routine with me so we can be in positions for everyone to see."
Amanda then turned to the crowd as girls began to walk towards her, forms complete and all. "Oh and by the way, do you like to uniform," Amanda asked as she collected the papers from the outstretched hands. She began looking through them, separating the ones she wanted to stay from the ones she was already going to get rid of.
Danilynn Hastings - May 18, 2008 07:29 PM (GMT)
Dani smiled at her cousin, laughing slightly at her remark about who's here for the boys. "In that case I think you'll find you can eliminate about half the applicants," Dani responded. Dani smiled as some grils approached, turning in their filled out forms. "I'm thrilled to help," Dani exclaimed as she helped Amanda collect the forms.
"Oh and by the way, do you like to uniform," Amanda asked as she collected the papers from the outstretched hands.
Dani looked up and over at Amanda. "They're perfect," Dani said looking her cousin up and down. "Really cute. You're mother did a fantastic job. I might just tryout for the uniform," Dani added in jokingly.
Amanda Connelly - May 18, 2008 07:52 PM (GMT)
Amanda looked at the papers she just received and rolled her eyes. Some girls were here for the boys and some were here for the boys and they had no experience. "Honestly Dani looking at these papers, I don't get why they even showed," Amanda said as she continued to flip through the papers, separating them. "I think without you here, I may just go insane on these girls." She half smiled, half laughed at Dani.
At Dani's comment about the uniforms, Amanda did a little model pose, kicking her leg up in a joking manner. "They really are great," Amanda said beaming. "My mum really did out do herself and be careful, I may just hold you to your word about trying out." Amanda wiggled her finger at her, joking around but she knew Dani would make a good cheerleader if she choose to join. She then turned to the girls. She clapped her hands to get everyone's attention.
"If you are here because you want to look cute for the boys, then I suggest you leave. My team will not be about that. We are serious hardcore athletes who are here for the sake of cheer, not boys," Amanda shouted, her hands on her hips. "Also if you have no experience and cannot move, I suggest you leave now so you do not waste my time. It'll also be easier on you, unless you want to hear my not so nice comments."
Narcissa Black - May 19, 2008 07:34 PM (GMT)
Narcissa sat up and stretched awake. It was Saturday and cheerleading tryouts were being held this afternoon. When Narcissa first saw the notice, she shrugged it off, but now she was looking forward to it. She was turning a new page in her life. She was Malfoy free and decided it was time she did something with herself other then what he wanted and this was just what she needed.
Getting up, Cissa went and showered. For her outfit, Cissa decided on a white tank, short green shorts, long white knee high socks with two green strips and white sneakers. Checking herself out in a full length mirror, she smiled satisfied with her appearance. She pulled her hair up and did it into a tight, neat ponytail. After doing her makeup, she slowly made her way down to the pitch, excited for tryouts.
Arriving in the pitch, she looked around and noticed the turnout. It seemed as if all of Slytherin had shown up. Taking a seat, Cissa waited for tryouts to begin. She took the forms that were being handed out and immediately filled them out. As she was filling out the form, she heard snorts and squeals. Looking around for the source of the commotion, Cissa spotted a pig and watched as the pig turned into Estelle. Cissa couldn't help laughing at the sight in front of her. She shook her head regaining her composure and turned her attention back to the matter at hand. Cissa wrote about her ballet experience and how Cheerleading would be a good way for her feel like part of a team and show house pride and spirit. Once she was done, she got up and walked over to Connelly and Hastings, and handed in her forms with a smile.
Amanda Connelly - May 19, 2008 09:03 PM (GMT)
Amanda smiled in return to Narcissa as she took the papers from her. She took a quick glance at her answers and nodded her head in approval of them. Finally, having all the papers in her hand, Amanda kept the pile of the ones she wanted to keep for the tryouts in one hand and the others in her other hand. She waited to see who would leave on their own accord based on her warning before she would dismiss the rest. When half of the girls from her reject pile got up and left, Amanda removed their papers and burned them. She then took the others and began to call out their names before quickly dismissing them. Amanda could careless what they were saying because her focus was on getting a good, strong cheerleading team.
Watching to make sure the girls left, Amanda turned to face the remaining half with a serious look on her face. "Good afternoon ladies and welcome to the Slytherin cheerleading tryouts. You all have already made it throw preliminary eliminations," Amanda began, speaking loud and clearly as she walked back and forth to address everyone. "Shall you make it through the four parts of the tryouts, you will have the honor of calling yourself the cheerleaders of Slytherin and will be wearing couture uniforms designed by my mum." Amanda then stopped walking to show them the uniform she was wearing at the moment.
Finally standing next to Dani, Amanda looked down at her clipboard to look at the order in which tryouts were going to go. "As previously stated, the tryouts will contain four parts to it. Part one will be a test of your athletic capability with a workout, part two will be a demonstration of the skills you claim to have on your papers, part three will be a demonstration of how loud you can cheer, and finally part four will be how quickly you pick up on the cheer that I will teach you," Amanda said reading her list off the paper on her clipboard. "To assist me with tryouts today so that everyone can see the moves for the cheer and whatever else needed will be my cousin Danilynn. She too will also help me decide who will be on the team, so know we are watching you." Amanda narrowed her eyes at the girls to let them know this wasn't a game before smiling. "With that said let's begin part one with five laps around the pitch." Amanda then began to jog around the pitch as the girls got up to join her.
Celine Moreau - May 21, 2008 09:26 PM (GMT)
Celine hung on every word that came out of Amanda's mouth. The try outs were tough, but she knew she would be alright. In a way, she was relieved it was Amanda that was chosen for captian. She would know how to pick a real team; not just girls that wanted to be called a cheerleader. Those were the ones the ruined real cheerleader's reputations. And Amanda was tough, perfect for getting the team in shape and ready for games.
With the beginning of part one, Celine jumped to her feet and started her five laps; concentrating on keeping her breathing even and running at a steady pace. Her body was already pumped up for cheer tryouts, but now she was jogging with a small smile on her lips. She loved this; even the running and working out part that get you disgustingly sweaty and exhaust you to no end.
Danilynn Hastings - May 23, 2008 07:08 PM (GMT)
As Amanda spoke, Dani looked through the applications in her hands, discarding the ones that had to go and setting the other ones aside. She laughed at Amanda's comment about going insane. "More reason for me to be here than," Dani joked along. Seeing Amanda do a little model pose with leg kick made Dani giggle. "I think I will try out. Have some fun while Im here," Dani replied seriously. "Besides I think I'll look rather hot in that uniform. Don't you agree," Dani teased as she ran her hands down her sides sashaying slightly. Dani laughed softly before getting serious hearing Amanda clap. Dani stood next to her cousin and listened as she spoke to the girls. Dani nodded her head in agreement to everything Amanda said and then stood back and waited to see who left on their own accord and who was bold enough to stick around.
Dani smiled as half the girls left and then turned to look at Amanda. She watched as Amanda dismissed half of the remaining girls, narrowing the applicants down to a sizable amount. She listened as Amanda told the remaining girls about what tryouts entailed. Dani knew that by the end of the tryout, half of these girls would be eliminated or leave. Amanda made tryouts sound challenging and Dani was even more tempted to tryout just to see if she could handle it. Dani liked challenges. Watching as Amanda began to jog, Dani fell in step beside her, making sure to breathe in and out as she jogged.
