To be honest I am a little disappointed by the "overall" procedure of the TV ratings, since technically a show that has 3-4 episodes, can easily do better than a show with 5-6 episode. Especially this season many shows suddenly paused after having gotten insane ratings thanks to the mayors annoucement. For me, who has 6 episodes, it means those shows aren't dragged down by the following weeks so much, because they simply have less episodes. Eventually writing 6 episodes backfired for me now. And i think this is neither wanted nor fair. I would say the new estimating of the Top Ten should simply be counting all the ratings, like:

Week 1: 9.2
Week 2: 10.5

9.2 + 10.5 = 19.7

The one with the highest number wins. This way its ensured that people, who write more episodes get better positions.

Overall ratings have no effect on the amount of money the series makes. That is based solely on ratings by episodes. More episodes = more money. Any other ratings list is just data. In the final lists, shows with just one of two episodes aren't listed (notes list what is included in particular lists).

But the TS Cap rating is judged by how well your show does overall ^^

Looking back, there doesn't seem too much of a disparity between shows that aired many episodes and ones that did less. Every once and a while a show will get lucky, but overall it seems on target.

That said, I'm not totally opposed to changing the TS Cap Boost system if someone has a better idea. Making it be the total ratings is not the answer though. Since we only have 12 weeks of TV a year, I'm for letting people do multiple shows per session without penatly.

I think the average rating is still fairer and this season is a little bit different because of the mayor's announcement, which sadly drag you down(and you are not the only victim, the shows that are not on air in the Mayor Announcement week is doing worst in this situation). In my opinion, both low episodes show and high episodes show have their pros and cons. Low episodes show is pretty risky because you can't save yourself much when one of your episode flopped while a long show can always sustain and still get a reasonable rating as long as your other 5 episodes can sustain that one bad episode rating. Of course, getting a high rating on 1 episode helps the lower episodes show more but if your show is strong you can pretty much get above average rating on all episodes and still win instead of trying to bank/gambling for a high rating episode to score it.

Your suggestion of highest number, on the other hand, pretty much forced producers to write a 5-6 episodes show or lose out in the battle, which eventually turns the TV sessions into a lot of high episodes show because that's the only way to survive.
