Hi!

So, I just joined, I've read the FAQ and some movies and am itching to contribute.
I wonder, however, just how detailed does a finished "movie script" have to be?The one's I've read have all been impressively detailed and professional looking but would, say, a synopsis with somewhat detailed descriptions of the key scenes be acceptable as well?

The reason I ask is that I don't really have the time or ability to write as much as I want. :/

Check out Fortune City and The Milliner 1919.

Both are summaries. One includes some dialogue, one does not.

Truth be told you're probably not going to set box office records or win a lot of awards with a summary. But if that's all you have time for at this point there's no reason you still can't release films.

Really short films tend to be better suited to an arthouse releases (unless they are sci-fi, Fantasy, Animation or an event).

Yep, just write what you want. No pressures on length or anything. And welcome to the game!
