SIDNEY PRESCOTT: 18 years old. Girl next door type. Nice. Good friend. Troubled past. Age should be 18 - 25. Her age is 18 in the first film. I'm also looking for an unknown in this role. But if you like to pitch some who are also 'known,' that would be fine too.
Suggestion: Emily Head (Star of The InBetweeners and Anthony Head's [Yes, Rupert from Buffy] daughter).
GALE WEATHERS: Newswoman/Reporter. She is feisty and can be an evil, manipulative bitch. Has a soft side to her though, but doesn't like to show it. Age 30-35.
Suggestion: Jessalyn Gilsig or Emmanuelle Vaugier
DEPUTY DWIGHT 'DEWEY' RILEY: Age should be able to look 25. Nerd. Geek type. He is a police officer, but is a rookie and doesn't really know what he's doing. Loyal. Age 25 - 30.
Suggestion: Sage Brocklebank (Buzz McNab on Psych, he plays a role similar to this and nails it out of the ballpark, he is also the right age) or Rob McElhenney.
BILLY LOOMIS: Brooding bad boy type. Same age as Sydney. Her boyfriend. Should be aged 18 - 26.
Suggestion: Chris Hemsworth or Liam Hemsworth
NEIL PRESCOT: Sidney's Father. Age 40's. Good father type. Has to step up now that his wife is gone. Has a tortured past, but is trying to move on with his daughter.
Suggestion: Keifer Sutherland or Matthew Fox
TATUM RILEY: Same age as Syndey as is her best friend. Sister of Dewey. She is kind of a wild girl and is feisty as well. Her age should be 18 - 25.
Suggestion: Nikki Reed or Miley Cyrus
KENNY: Gale's cameraman. Fat. Kind of lazy. Annoyed with Gale. Age should be 32 - 35.
Suggestion: I'm going to through someone a bit older then Gale into the mix as my suggestion for Kenny and suggest Mark Christopher Lawrence (Chuck). If you want younger, Nick Frost also works.
SHERIFF BURKE Burke: Age is 50-55. Sheriff of the town. Likes no nonsense. He is determined to keep his town safe.
Suggestion: Michael Rooker or Tony Todd
STUART 'STU' MACHER: Age is 18, should be in 18-26 range. He is weird. Tatum's boyfriend. Weirdo type. Billy's best friend. Provides some comic/twisted comic relief.
Suggestion: Jamie Campbell Bower or Chris Colfer.
RANDY MEEKS: Same age as Stu and should be in the same age range. Nerdy. He works in a video store. Fanboy type. He knows a lot about horror movies and the dos and dont's in them. Is in love with Sydney.
Suggestion: Ryan Cooley or Rupert Grint.
HANK LOOMIS: Billy's father. He is around the same age as Sydney's father. He has a deep troubled past as well.
Suggestion: Neal McDonough or Michael Biehn
COTTON WEARY: Wrongfully convicted of murder of Sydney's mother. Weird. He is also greedy as well and likes to see what he can get for himself out of certain situations. Age is around 27 - 32.
Suggestion: Andrew Garfield, Joseph Mazzello, Ben Barnes, or Trevor Donovan (90210)
PRINCIPAL ARTHUR HIMBRY: Principal of the school Sydney attends. He can be harsh, but likes to keep his school safe. Age is around fifty.
Suggestion: William Forsythe or Xander Berkley
MRS. RILEY: Dewey and Tatum's mother. Motherly type. Age is around 50.
Suggestion: Sela Ward or Geena Davis
